"What are you idiots doing here?" Question the leader out of the three guards. The other two simply sat back quietly, waiting for a command. Flower quickly got mad, and began to shout at the guard.
"Hey! Who're you calling an idiot- '' Flower was quickly held back and interrupted by Journey. Although she did not approve of Journey holding her back, Flower knew he wouldn't stop her if there wasn't a reason.
"I apologize for being here, but my friend here had to retrieve her uncle's vase which fell..." Journey explained apologetically while forcing Flower to bow her head. This angered flower more but kept her anger down. " So she asked for the bells to be rung for help."
"Is that so...?" Asked the guard as his intimidating eyes peered down at Flower. Flower knew what Journey was asking of her, so she sorta played along.
"Yea..."
"Now..." Journey continued. " To address us as 'idiots' is quite too far as a guard, considering our status, should I report this to the elders? It would be quite troublesome for you, right? Snow..."
The guard named Snow flinched but kept silent, daring not to say another word. Besides Journey, Flower could be heard insulting the guard back with his comment firmly.
"Idiot"
Understanding that Snow was no longer in need of the others behind him, he turned and gave a simple order.
"Go back to the temple and report that nothing is out of the ordinary."
"Yes sir!" The two guards nodded in unison and flew away to carry out their command.
As Journey, Flower and Snow watch the guards fly off into the distance, Silence fell on them as they waited until the guards were out of ear sight. Still looking at the horizon, Snow spoke up.
"How'd you know it was me?"
"You said 'idiot'..." Journey pointed out.
"No guards call us 'idiot' stupid." Flower added with a bit of attitude.
Snow turned towards them, and started pulling off the ponytail trinkets in his hair. Revealing a short hairstyle.
"... well, weren't you guys supposed to get ready for the oracles' teachings?" Snow asked as he finished fixing himself up.
"Oh... well..."Journey spoke hesitantly alongside Flower.
"We..." Flower muttered.
"We found something..." Journey continued.
"Like a missing vase that the elder never loses?" asked Snow questionably. As if she knew of her crimes, Flower ducked behind Journey quickly and tried to sneak away.
"I just borrowed it!" Flower yelped.
"Look, I'll get straight to the point. We have a 'newborn' here." Interrupted Journey.
Snow's glowing eyes quickly looked around him. He knew that a 'Newborn' was a term for when someone from a distant timeline was able to return or awake from the dead. If possible, they could be the answer to their current problem.
"A 'newborn' you say, yet the only problem with that statement is that there hasn't been any in years aside from us."
"That's what I said!" Flower added.
"Well if you don't believe us, we have them hiding because we weren't sure if it was you or the actual guards. If you know what I mean." informed Journey.
Of course Snow knew what Journey ment. After what happened when they all first came here, he rather not have the pass repeat itself. Journey continued his speech.
