Britain had underestimated how out of place he would feel. Let alone how out of place he would look as well. Barely anyone was wearing a cloak, and even though those that were didn't have their entire face and body covered. This, of course, meant that many people would look at him strangely, which only added to his nervousness. He still wasn't that used to humans, especially a large amount of them like this.

Plus, he had no idea where Soviet would be either.

For a while, he was just wandering around aimlessly, attempting to take all the sights and sounds in. It was a pain for him to refrain from letting his tail drag behind him on the floor, but it assured that he would have less chance of being caught. If his true self was revealed now, everything would be ruined; it would all be over.

Every now and again, he'd accidentally bump into someone, apologise profusely, and hurry off. Each time it happened, he'd always have a small glimmer of hope that it would be Soviet, but it would just be yet another stranger side-glaring at him for getting in the way. To them he was some weird, little cloaked child trying to cause trouble.

Overwhelmed and tired (and very upset, mind you), Britain felt as though he should just give up. It was a terrible idea, he knew it wouldn't work anyway, and now he could be putting both himself and his brothers in danger. And for what? Perhaps they were right after all. He quickly turned around to find the direction back home, when he ran smack into someone else.

"Watch where you're- What the- Britain?!"

Said dragon's eyes lit up when he finally saw the face of Soviet. He grabbed the other's arm and rushed him off to go somewhere more private. Soviet, on the other hand, was just extremely confused as to why Britain was here and where he was taking him. He was also surprisingly quick for his size - the human was struggling to keep up.

"Where are we going?!"

"Just- somewhere!"

They ran past market stalls, shops, statues and many other places that would have previously bewildered any dragon. Villagers stopped what they were doing to stare and wonder about the entire situation. But they didn't care.

A few more turns later, and the two arrived behind a building. They were completely out of view. Soviet sat himself down, listening to the birds as he caught his breath. Britain, meanwhile, seemed a bit distant. Like he had something to say. So of course, the younger of them decided to start a conversation.

"Why are you here?"

"Um- It's a long story..."

"Tell me the story then."

Britain laughed nervously and shied himself away so he couldn't see his face. All he was to him now was a cloak.

"Well- It's about my brothers. They know."

"Know what?"

"About us. Meeting each other. They want us to stop, so I suppose I've- um- I've run away."

"So you decided to come to a human village?!"

The dragon immediately turned himself back around, a worried expression on his face.

"What? No no no- I came here to find you, of course. I was hoping you'd know somewhere I could stay, just for the night! I'll sort myself out later on. But please- I can't go back, they'd never forgive me."

"Britain... I think you should probably just go home."

If his expression wasn't worried before, it certainly was now.

"Wait! You don't understand! My brothers will disown me when they find out I chose a human over them!"

Soviet sighed. He wanted to help his friend, but he also wanted what was best for him.
