Kei let out a soft groan as she opened her eyes to see that she was lying on something soft instead of the grass.

"Huh, where am I?" Kei questioned, looking around and finding herself lying on a bed with purple sheets.

'Strange, where am I? Wasn't I outside with father?' She thought, confused, unsure where she was.

Kei slowly sat up in the bed and looked around the room, trying to find any clue of where she was. Her eyes then spotted a picture on the nightstand next to her and facing away from her.

"What is that a picture of?" She questioned, grabbing it and turning it around.

Her eyes widened as she saw a tall woman with pale skin and long, straight purple hair, and purple snake eyes. She was wearing a white kimono. Next to her was a pale man with spiky raven hair and a slightly sinister golden snake eye. Standing below them was a four-year-old who looked a lot like her father, Orochimaru.

'This picture must be my father when he was younger and my grandparents. Wow, father resembles grandmother a lot, except with grandfather's hair color and eye color.' She thought, studying the picture in her hand.

"I sssee your finally awake, Lady Kei," A small female voice said with a hiss drawing out the s.

Kei quickly put the picture down and turned to the direction of the voice and saw a small brown snake on the bed, looking at her and catching her off guard.

"No need to be alarmed, Lady Kei," The snake stated.

"Who are you, and why do you keep calling me Lady Kei?" Kei asked, confused.

"Asuna, my name, and being Lord Orochimaru'sss daughter makes you Lady Kei," Asuna replied.

"No, it's just Kei. I might be his child, but it is not like we ever had a real connection with each other," Kei said, looking at the picture of her father again.

"Lady Kei, that might ssseem that way now, but trussst me, Lord Orochimaru clearing feels someway about you to have not left you outside passsed out," Asuna replied.

"Hm," Kei hummed in thought, remembering that, in fact, she was secured safely inside of a comfortable bed instead of outside, where she blacked on out at.

"He even requesssted for me to ssstay with you until you regain consciousnesss."

"I see. Well, thanks for keeping watch over me then," Kei said, standing up from the bed."It is probably best if I head on home. I'm sure everyone has been looking for me since I left the hospital without being released."

"Yesss, of courssse, and remember to meet up with Lord Orochimaru tomorrow morning," Asuna said, "I report to Lord Orochimaru that you awaken from the unsealing of the curssse mark," She replied, slithering off the bed and poof away.

'Father, maybe the two of us could make a connection with each other. Unlike the Third Hokage and Anko, you gave me the answers I have been looking for. Mother may have never talked about you, but she clearly trusted you. So maybe I can learn to feel the same way.' Kei thought, looking at the picture one more time before leaving the bedroom she assumed was her father's before he with rouge from the village.

Kei was walking out of the house, stareing at the snake statues seeing that she was actually in her father's old house after all.

'I wonder why he left me here instead of dropping me back at the hospital.' She thought with a deep sigh as she looked up at the mid-afternoon sky.
