Upon arriving at my house, Ace gazes up at my home and smiles.

"You have a beautiful home, Lana," he says looking at me, his pupils dilated. "Thank you for letting me stay"

I murmur a small "your welcome" as i get out of the car and walk towards the door. I look back just in time to watch Ace stumble and nearly fall over one of the steps to my house. I quickly rush over and put one of his arms over my shoulder as I walk him inside. Why is he so big? I think to myself. He chuckles as I struggle to close the door. He's so heavy. I rush to the couch and chuckle as he falls on it. He laughs and sits up the best he can. I take off my coat and gaze back at him and again he's staring at me and his gaze darkens as he looks at me up and down. I try to ignore the shiver that goes through me at the way he's looking at me but I can't stop myself from doing the same to him. He grins and I quickly make my way to the kitchen to retrieve some water and food for him. As I make my way back to the living room, I see him gazing at the tv.

He turned it on... And he's watching the weather channel.

I chuckle until I hear the reporter call for an immense amount of snow and the biggest snowstorm that Chicago has had within the past few years. I freeze and then look out the window at the already fast and heavy snowfall. I sigh and walk up to him and pass him the food and beverage. He thanks me and starts eating. I just hope he can go home tomorrow.

"I'm going to go change my sheets and put on new pillows and I'll be right back," I say. I attempt to leave but he grabs my hand and I freeze looking back at him.

"I can't take your bed, '' he says sleepily.

"Yes you can and you will" I laugh.

"No, I'll sleep on the couch, no arguing Miss Barlowe I'm your boss after all" he grins. I sigh and contemplate arguing but I don't feel like it, I'm exhausted. After quickly making him his bed on the couch and handing him a pair of old gray sweatpants so he can sleep comfortably, I watch as he begins slowly unbuttoning his gray suit jacket and my breath halts and my cheeks flush red. I quickly turn around and hear him chuckle behind me.

"Um.... I'll be in my room, if you need anything help yourself," I say sheepishly and walk towards my room until I hear him say a small "thank you, Lana. Goodnight". I return the supplement and enter my room. I feel relieved as I finally get undressed and into short PJ shorts and a small tank top, even though he was sweet and nice to me, the intensity of his presence and the effect he had on me was all I could think about as I tried to sleep. I kept wondering what he wanted with me, why would he defend me so easily, nobody else did, why did he look at me like that when at work he always seemed to despise me and overall why couldn't I get him out of my head every time I saw him. Ace Bennet was going to kill me.
