(I'm back home so the shitty autocorrect can't hurt me anymore. I wrote something for school and had google docs still open and thought:"Can it correct english spelling mistakes while it displays everything in german" yes it can, so when I have time I'm going to use it to correct grammar errors in previous chapters)

After the rescue of Ayanami

Monti:" I'm awake!"

Me:"That's better. Get ready breakfast is waiting"

I leave them to get ready and go downstairs, I do some last minute preparation. Cleveland, Jack, Columbia, Denver and Monteplier trickle down the stairs. Cleveland wants to start but I interrupt

Me:"We'll start when everyone has arrived"

Javelin:"But everyone is here that you invited?"

Me:"Not everyone"

The someone knocks on the door separating the hallway from the kitchen/dining room combo

Me:"Cleveland it's for you so open the door"

She is confused but still opens the door, and gets immediately hugged by the remaining members of the Cleveland class, Independence subclass included(They are alive, they were started as Cleveland class cruisers but finished as Independence class carriers. At heart they are still Cleveland class and consider themselves as a subclass)

They start asking questions about how she's been and if her boyfriend has beaten her...really, that's one of the first things you ask, don't you have any trust in me to check for that

Me:"You can continue asking about Jack at the table, it's still fresh"

They thankfully don't notice my sad face. Stop that Bismarck, you're a proud carrier of the Federal German Navy. They just haven't met me at all or only briefly, they just don't know how good at being a mother I am. Wait...do I have some kind of weird complex? The Clevelands go to the table, before I can close the door and follow them someone stops it and pushes it open, it's Nimitz. And behind him are Enterprise and Belfast, probably in that order so E can't flee

Me:"Good morning Chester Nimitz, Enterprise and Belfast. You're right on time"

They come in and I close the door, we all sit down

Me:"So now that we are all here we can fina-"

Someone interrupts me with a hrmf

I look around and a second hrmf appears, it comes from 556. Roon is sitting beside her...how did they come in without me noticing? Friendly vessels so no report was sent, I'm an idiot. I didn't invite them, what kind of mother am I? They left their friends behind and I forget them on the second day

Me:"How... how did I forget you? You left almost everything you know behind and I just forget you"

I begin crying, then the impacts start, then the shocks, then the cursing. A hugging attack was attempted then Eldritch joined and everyone was shocked, bad joke I know

Roon:"Mom it's not your fault, we all miss everyone from Germany. We have to find ways to take our minds of of it, you found one, acting as either the protective mom or the pampering grandma"

556:"You are happy, that's all that is important"

Me:"Thank you, thank you all for accepting a stranger. We should start now"

They don't waste a second and descend on the food, yes, being happy that is all that is important
