Chapter Eleven - High Stakes [ACT TWO]

After finishing his chicken, he goes outside to find a green Lamborghini Diablo parked outside. Mike follows him outside.

Mike: Early Christmas gift from me.

Shingle: Holy shit Mike! Why?

Mike: You DID help us with the Majatty thing, so I figured this could be your payment.

Shingle: Uh, thanks I guess? But, why waste your money on it?

Mike: You helped us.

Shingle stands looking at his new car in shock. He can't believe he finally has his own car, and it's a Lamborghini! He decides he's going to take it on a ride to Gibet Industrial Estate.

Mike: Here's the keys by the way.

Mike hands Shingle the keys to his car.

Shingle: Thanks man.

Mike walks back in the house, and Shingle follows, hoping his mother didn't take her car. He only just now realised that he had left the bag of stolen meth lab equipment in the trunk.

Once he gets in the house, he looks around for his mum's car keys. He walks into the kitchen, where he passes his mother walking outside, holding the keys. Shingle almost shouts for her, but he realises he probably shouldn't confess. He has to lie about what's in the bag. Just then, he hears his phone ringing from his room. He looks down at his watch, and it's 7:01. He is now late for work. He quickly runs after his mum.

Shingle: Mum! I need to get something from... work out of your trunk! I left it in there last night.

SM: Oh alright, I unlocked it so go ahead.

Shingle opens the trunk and gets the bag. His phone rings again.

Shingle (quietly to himself): Please just hang on, Kyle.

He carries the bag out and unlocks the Lambo so he can put it in his trunk. Then he closes it and runs back into the apartment to get his phone.

Shingle: Uh, hey K- boss!

Kyle: Shingle, you're late. Why?

Shingle: I'm still a bit sick, I am sorry I forgot to call.

Kyle: Oh alright, just like, try not to forget again. Had me thinking I had to rat you in to the manager for a second.

Shingle hangs up and runs back downstairs to get into his car. He starts the engine.

Shingle: Woah! Already in love with it!

He reverses out of the parking lot and drives to Gibet City.

Once he gets off the highway, he turns left to Gibet Industrial Estate. At the gate, he goes up to the guard.

Shingle: Hey uh, can I buy some property here?

Guard: You'll have to take that up with the landlord.

Shingle: Alright bro. Where is he?

Guard: 316 Jetain Road, you'll see it.

Shingle: Okay.

He reverses away from the gate and drives back to the highway. Jetain Road is in an entirely different area. Right now, we are in Mainlands, and Jetain Road is in Antristian, which is across the country. He drives back to Eiprepus Town to get his map of Congerania.
