Ciel stood at the entrance to the darkened sitting room. He sighed heavily.

"Alright, Sebastian," He called out, "This is the last room in the house, so I'm assuming you're in here somewhere. Why are you hiding in the shadows?"

" Let's say I've slipped into something a little more...unsettling. I wouldn't want to frighten you a second time with my appearance. The response came softly. Ciel fixed his gaze in the direction of the large armchair.

"I see, so you've kicked the butler out, have you?"Ciel asked.

"You could say that. I hope in time that you will learn to associate this form with the security and affection you need." Sebastian caught sight of a flicker of light as Ciel produced a lit candle, entering the room before the older demon could react. He set the candle on the table, taking the chair across from the dark figure.

"The real you doesn't bother me anymore. I know you run around like this while I'm keeping busy. It doesn't matter what you look like you're still my Sebastian. Don't you think it's something I need to get used to?"

"Eventually, as I said the other day, I'd rather not overwhelm you. You've worked so diligently at your lessons that I would hate to set you back. I'm quite proud of the progress you've made." Sebastian smirked, "You know, Ciel, had you put the same effort into your music, you could be halfway to first chair by now."

"violins are rubbish. I have better things to do with my time."

"Indeed. We should be starting our next lesson if you feel up to it. It's one of the most important ones."

"Can I ask you something? I've been thinking about it for a while. I just didn't know how to bring it up." Ciel requested.

"You may ask anything." Sebastian invited.

"I was wondering, the humans that change, do they change in appearance as well?"Ciel questioned curiously, "Will I look like you someday?"

"Not necessarily, You may find yourself going through subtle changes here and there. In some cases, physical appearances don't change at all, but you will gain new strength and abilities. As far as complete transformations, I've never known them to happen. Does the thought bother you?" Ciel shook his head.

"I don't know that I'd mind, and I don't think you look as bad as you claim. Those horns are impressive. Do you use them for sparring matches or maybe tossing your rival off the side of a mountain?" Ciel taunted. Sebastian grinned, his teeth gleaming in the candlelight.

"Did you seriously look me in the eye and compare me to a mountain goat?" Ciel chuckled.

"If that's what you heard, it's on you. I never said those words."

"They're purely decoration. The larger they are, the more prominent the family. Some demons have none at all."

"Prominent family, you say? You must be important down here." Ciel inferred.
