Ciel waited as the door opened and the demons came into view. They gave a short bow in unison, then stood still.

"Good evening, Everyone," Sebastian greeted, stepping aside.Ciel followed his mate's lead, careful to stay at his side, "Please, come inside." The group took the invitation, standing before the former butler.

Ciel lowered his gaze but wasn't sure what to make of the towering figures.

The former humans appeared to be similar in age to himself.

"As always, I invite you to speak freely in my home or as your mate permits. Velic, Merritt, I wish to welcome you home. I understand it's been quite a journey from your letter."

"It was indeed," A booming voice replied cheerfully. "Well worth it."

The largest of the group strode forward, extending a clawed hand to Sebastian.

Velic's bull-like horns gleamed in the light. "As I hear it, you're thinking of starting your own journey."

"Nearly there, I think," Sebastian said as Velic beckoned a young man forward, placing a massive hand on his shoulder.

"Merritt, you may thank our host for having us, but remember what we talked about." Again the red-haired boy bowed.

"Thank you for opening your home to us," He said. Merritt stood and returned to his position.

Sebastian then greeted the second largest.

This demon had no horns and was far more muscular than Velic.A young girl with curly, light brown hair stood at his side. Her soft pink flowing gown brought to mind his cousin Elizabeth.

"Welcome, Draegan, Della, and Vexx." Draegan stepped forward, shaking Sebastian's hand.

"Thank you for your invitation, old friend. It's good to see you." The demon growled in response. "I ask that you excuse Vexx today. He's being difficult."

"I trust you have the situation in hand?" Sebastian asked.

"Always," Draegan assured, turning and gesturing his mates closer. It was only then that Ciel caught sight of the one called Vexx.

The slender form stared off to his right, not bothering to acknowledge Ciel or Sebastian.

"Della, what do we say to our host?" Instantly, the girl curtseyed.

"Thank you ever so much for having us." She said. Ciel briefly caught sight of the girl's blue-gray eyes. Draegan chuckled softly.

"She's quite the cheerful little thing," He added, shaking his head in Vexx's direction. "Like night and day between these two. Vexx certainly does live up to his name. Under normal circumstances, I would require Vexx to address you, but I'm afraid that whatever comes out of his mouth will surely be to his detriment. I seriously considered leaving the little brat at home, but you can't trust him alone. He gets bored rather quickly, you see.

A bored demon is a destructive beast, after all."

"Yes, well, he's still young, Draegan. He must learn as we all have." Sebastian replied.
