info about main characters:
Jake: A few years after Hailey and Jake separated, he moved from Rose meadow to LA. They had to move back due to money issues and he's back in Rose meadow, into a new highschool, though he moved twice, he never let Hailey leave his mind, wondering if he'd ever be able to see her again.
Hailey: Just about a year or two after separating with Jake, Haileys mom died, which took a bigger toll on her life. That was until her father, Michael, met Shannon, and her son, Zander. Hailey quickly became one of Zander's best friend, and even though they weren't real siblings, they loved each other very much. Due to all these events, she had completely forgotten about Jake.
