the lady slammed her alarm clock and stirred in her bed.

“. . . . . .”

she checked her alarm clock then blinked once.

then twice.

then thrice.

“i'm goNNA BE LATE!!!” her voice raised in panic.

“sorry, honey.” her mom said, comical tears were streaming down her face.

as it turns out, mrs. ethelind—her mother—set her alarm clock 20 minutes early.

“did it have to be 20 minutes? i thought i was dead, for sure!” the lady complained, mrs. ethelind patted her head.

“you specifically told me to wake you up early because you didn't want to be late to school, sweetheart.”

“20 minutes is still too much!” she protested more while she put her shoes on, getting ready to leave the house.

“bye~! i love you!”

“i love you too mom!” said miss y/n, walking off to the direction of her school.

what a surprise when she noticed that a man was walking behind her, but in every turn she takes, he follows too.

“uh..” she turned to the guy behind her.

“you go to nijisanji en too right?” he asked, “yes..?”

“oh, good! i recognized the uniform and thought I would follow you to the school, I'm new to this area so I apologize if it seemed like i was following you.”

‘thank god.’

“it's fine! we could go to school together if you'd like!”

nijisanji—one of the schools of which has numerous branches in several different countries and people who spoke in different languages.

for example, kr for korea, jp for japan, en, whereas ike and y/n goes to, and many more.

“thank you. I'm Ike eveland, nice to meet you.” he introduced himself

“no problem! I'm y/n ethelind, nice to meet you too.”

ike glanced beside him, “you're too trusting, you know that? what if i really were following you and just pretended to go to the same school?”

the lady smiled, “i can tell if a person has good or bad intentions with one look, Ike. and i can certainly say that you are a kind person.”

the man with heels chuckled, “thank you for the compliment.”

a comfortable silence fell on them as they eventually reached school grounds.

a loud and big golden retriever soon reached their view and ike sighed before walking towards it.

“ike! there you are!” said the golden retriever. my, what a bright energy.

the lady covered her eyes and ike waved to luca. “what are you doing here, luca? as far as I know it's normally vox who's on gate duty.”

“he said he had important matters to attend to and asked me to do it today since I'm the president!” replied luca.

“i'm still wondering why and how you're the president, kaichou.” the lady joined.
