it was the weekends, meaning no classes. this also meant it was the night of which mr and mrs. ethelind goes out for a date.

"honey, there are ingredients in the fridge and the cupboards if you need to cook yourself dinner. and-"

"-there's money on top of the fridge if I'm gonna order food. got it mom." y/n continued.

"now go ahead to your date with dad!" she further went, pushing both her parents out of the door.

mrs. ethelind laughed before kissing her daughter goodbye, taking mr. ethelind's arm.

her husband opened the door to their car and mrs. ethelind gave out a giggle before getting in.

mr. ethelind waved to his daughter and walked to the other side of the car, also getting in.

y/n just shook her head at her parents before getting back in their house.

"what should i make for dinner..?"

she looked around.

there was nothing to do.

she audibly groaned at the lack of events, it was quite boring without her parents home.

what to do, what to do.. she thought.

and suddenly a thought came through her mind-none other than shu yamino.

her mind went blank.

gah! curse that guy!

haha get it? okay anyway.

as she walked back to her room, she thought of things to do. of course this also included her thoughts of shu.

oh god.. how embarrassing.. she thought.

she decided to study for the time being.

taking out one of her books and a notebook to write down notes on.

although, several minutes have passed and she still can't focus.

her mind keeps finding its way to thinking of a certain sorcerer who lived two houses away.

she unconsciously glanced towards her window, finding her gaze lingering at the direction of his house.

i wonder what he's doing right now..

she shook her thoughts away and slapped herself. "alright! focus! you can't be thinking of him right now!" she told herself.

"but it can't be helped. . ." she said, glancing at his house once more.

"he seems so familiar that i can't explain it." the lady glanced at one of her drawers.

she opened it and several of envelopes filled the little space of the drawer.

"could it be. . ?" she whispered.

taking one out, she opened it. the receiver of the letter wasn't named.

in fact, it was as if it was written to a nameless recipient.

or. . . the sender didn't know who to address it to.

they do share similar features, don't they?

she closed it again before putting it back into the drawer and sighed.

maybe i should go out today. she thought.

wow, you? going out? to touch grass? impossible.
