I lay in bed
It's 2:00 in the morning
You're asleep
And I'm stuck here thinking
About what I can do
To make you stay
But I can't do anything
Because I know that
If you leave,
You'll have a chance
Of actual happiness
Wanting you to stay is selfish
You feel like they are mad at you
Because you've done something wrong
Especially her
You say that I'm the only one who tries
Yet you're pushing me away
But you just don't see
Why I actually try
You don't see why
I want you too be happy
I don't want you to see
I've seen how much
She hurts you
I see how much you love her
I let you see me one before
And then I promised to forget
To forget about my feelings
But it isn't that easy
And the feelings come flooding back
Flooding back into my mind
These thoughts clawing at my brain
These feelings eating me away
