The Chunin Exam PT 6

In the third exam hall the sickly looking proctor stood ifnront of them all.

Hayata:Uhh we have to hold a preliminary exam before we can move on to...the real one.

He said as Y/n sighed and threw his head back in annoyance. Turns out there were too many squads in the exam so they need to make the battles shorter for the final round since such important figures are going to be there. And so the preliminary rounds started to commence. The first round was Satsuki against a Yaori Akado. Of course Satsuki won using a taijutsu skill she saw Lee do against Y/n and made it her own the Lions Barage.

The second match was Zaku going against Shino. At first no one really thought it was anything special until it was revealed Shino had a hive of bugs living in his body. They could follow his commands, drain chakra, and even inflict heavy poison. But the most serious thing he did was plug the holes in Zaku's hands and make his arms blow off of him in a heavy burst of air. Almost everyone was shocked at this but one Genin was smiling in glee.

Y/n:Woah! This guy is so cool! He made is arms blow off!

Chuckling to himself he thought about using a wind style like that. The next match was Misumi Tsurugi going against the sand ninja Kankuro. The cat eared makeup wearing boy was able to win by switching places with his puppet on his back and trappings opponent. The second was made Y/n frown and the reason why was because they were fighting to rebuild their friendship they lost. This didn't make him frown though what made him disappointed was that they broke their friendship up over him.

Their battle ended in a double K.O. resulting in no winner. The next battle was Temari the sand blonde against Ten Ten the weapons specialist. And again Y/n was amazed by the amount of wind style used in the battle. The perfect mix of offense and defense as she ended the battle by holding her fan out and making Y/n narrow his eyes a bit. Seeing this she faltered and just let the girl hit the ground.

Walking back she glanced at him and saw that Y/n was staring at her and she smiled knowing she caught his attention. Then the next battle was up. And on the screen showed the next fighters.

Hayata:The next battle. Y/n Uzumaki V.S. Shikamaru Nara.

Y/n:YES!

He screamed out and jumped down landing on the ground.

Y/n:I got him! I got him! I can't believe I got the person I wanted to fight the most.

Satsuki:Why's he so excited?

Naruko:Beats me.

She said glancing at him. Shikamaru groaned and walked down slowly.

Shikamaru:What a drag. I can't believe I got picked against him.

Y/n:Stop taking so long and get down here already.

Shikamaru:Yeah Yeah hold your horses.

He said walking infront of him. On the outside he looked bored but still he was extremely nervous to fight him. Ever since they were kids Y/n would always beat up the assholes that tried to bully Naruko. And long story short they didn't want to become a ninja anymore. Shikamaru was ther when he witnessed the time when one of the kids went too far.

*Flashback*

Shikaramu was sleeping in an empty class when he heard running and crying. Waking up he decided he wasn't lazy enough to see what happened. He walked out seeing Naruko run past him with tears in her eyes and saw three boys cackling to themselves.

Boy1:She actually thought I liked her! Ha! What a dumbass!

He said as the others laughed with him. But all four felt a sudden chill as they looked and saw Y/n walking toward them.
