Everyone was piling around in the middle of the courts looking at the zombies that piled at each door trapping you all inside the tennis courts. Sakae's grip tightened as she squeezed her eyes shut, tears flowing down her face. The fear was clearly visible as she was shaking as if she was cold.
Suddenly the entrance door gets bursted open by the force the zombies were putting on it. Sakae screamed at the sight. You grunted a bit and dug the heel of your shoe into the ground preparing to dodge any sort of swing the zombies will try. Most zombies get caught on the net and the ones that passed get smacked by Su-hyeok. The ones on the net get hit by Cheong-san. You'd normally help but your priority right now is protecting Sakae.
Mr. Nam threw a red flare over in the corner of the court which attracted all the zombies and they all ran over to it. You all ran to the now cleared entrance opening it and stepping out. Everyone hurrying each other. The sound of a whistle filled your ears and you snapped your head towards On-jo's father who was running away from the door blowing the whistle to attract all the zombies to him
"Take Sakae." You order as you wiggle her off your back and into Dae-su's arm. Sakae started screaming again and you stopped in your tracks hearing her cry and protest.
"Y/n, please! Don't leave me! No, no!" Sakae cried thrashing around in Dae-su's arms. You groaned lowly and turned back round picking her up on your back. You held her legs as she wrapped her arms around your neck. Your dagger back in your pocket so you don't accidentally cut her.
Mr. Nam threw two more flares as Cheong-san and Su-hyeok drag On-jo who was refusing to leave. She cried out to him.
"Get out! Get out now! Get out!" Mr Nam yelled running towards the door and punching a zombie that came behind him. He fell to the floor as another zombie tackled him.
"Mr. Nam!" Cheong-san shouts running to him. Su-hyeok doing the same and smacking the zombie off him with the bat.
"Go. Go! Get out!" He orders as they all run out the door
"Hurry. Go." Mi-jin yells. Mr. Nam closes the gate on himself and your eyes widen a bit but go back to normal however your jaw is clenched as you walk closer to the gate along with On-jo
"Why are you? Dad?" On-jo stammers looking down at his hand that had a bite mark
"On-jo, look at me. Go. Run! Go. Go!" He yells seeing zombies running towards the group of teenagers he had thrown his life too.
"Dad." On-jo cries
"Go! Go! On-jo! Go...Run. Go On-jo!" He continued to order you all around while being bit by zombies all over his back as he was pressed against the gate. You walk over to the gate and his eyes dart to you then Sakae
"Thanks for keeping her safe." You mumble
"Please...please do me a favour in return...keep On-jo..." He trails off as he was slowly losing the battle between the virus. You nod and turn around seeing Su-hyeok and Cheong-san drag On-jo away. You also start running with Sakae still on your back crying. You all run into a building under construction throwing your armour off you as you all enter the workers that was once human but now zombies chasing after you all.
"Stop!" Nam-ra demands and everyone stops in there tracks. You being next to her.
"Why, why, why?" Dae-su repeats as it falls dead silent. Zombies start running in front of you and Nam-ra turns around
"Go upstairs. Go!" Nam-ra orders
"Hurry! To the second floor!" Su-hyeok adds and you all start running to the stairs. Su-hyeok holding Sakae's shoulders as he was behind you trying to speed things up and take some of her weight from you. You all make it upstairs but everyone is confused and panicked on where to go now
"Where do we go?" Dae-su shouts
"There's no way out. It's blocked!" Wu-jin shouts next to you.
"Go through this way!" Nam-ra yells and everyone starts climbing out the window. You pulling Sakae off your back and then passing her to Su-hyeok who she clings onto. He puts her down and she holds his leg considering his tall height. You're the last to climb over and once you do. Su-hyeok lifts you out the window and doesn't put you down so your natural instinct kicked in and you wrapped your legs around his waist so you wouldn't fall. You're now on a landing outside of the building high up.
"Put me down, idiot." You murmur to him and he grins a bit while panting. He kisses your jaw lightly and sets you down on your feet. Sakae lets go of Su-hyeok and goes straight back to you
"Stay away from the edge." Cheong-san stands up and pushes Hyo-ryung away from the edge
"Uhuh." She hums shaking.
"Here. Come here." Dae-su says to Hyo-ryung. You sit down next to Su-hyeok and Sakae is in your lap hugging you tightly. She barely has let go of you since you've been together.
"Quiet. Don't make any noise." Nam-ra orders from the other side of you still standing. On-jo picked up a metal pole but that got snatched by Cheong-san and thrown away. Ha-ri covered On-jo's mouth as they both crouched down. You covering Sakae's to contain her sobs. Nam-ra sat down next to you looking between you and Sakae with a small smile finding it cute how you're trying your best to comfort and protect your sister at the same time.
Gwi-Nam's Pov
The boy with the bowl-cut crawls away from me slowly as I crouched and slowly approach him a wicked grin spread across my face. Not because of the power I have, because I can smell Y/n's perfume on him...her smell is enticing. His bones started cracking as his nose bled. I scratch my head with my finger a bit annoyed that he won't tell me where whats mine is.
"Remember now?" I question lowly
"I don't know anyone named Y/n, you freak. Everyone went to the assembly hall, and I got out by myself." He explains through grunts. I step a little closer
"The hall?" I mumble
"I don't know who Y/n is. We went with some juniors. That's all." He answers and it seems that he was being honest the entire time...
"That means the others are still there. You're fucking brave. You'd better run. Or i'll eat you." I threaten. He stabs me in the neck with an arrow and then looked at me shocked when I was unfazed by that action. I pulled out the arrow a bit annoyed. I don't want to show up to Y/n with too much blood on me. He stumbled ahead of me as I stand to my full height.
I walk closer to him holding my neck as he picks up a bow and starts putting an arrow on it while pointing it towards me. Completely ignoring the click in his bones. He shoots and I move out the way so it completely misses me. He slides to the fall as the virus completely takes over him. Now he was as mindless as the rest of them
"I told you to run. Why didn't you listen?" I mumble but my mind was completely elsewhere. It always had been. Y/n.
