Prologue-New life

Hello, my name is Alexander. My parents are two prodigies, who always work and take care of the most valuable thing in life. Me, I'm on the national debate team, I was in military training due to my father, and my mother is formally known for her work as being one of the best models.

My school has never lost a debate thanks to me, I don't really like being on the debate team. Detective work is fun to me, I'm classified as one of the higher-ups. I go to an all-private school, and most kids judge on how much money they have. After finishing up a debate my mother approached me.

I received a letter from a person in the crowd, I wasn't surprised colleges were scouting people from my school. "You have been welcomed to join our school "upon arrival" for higher learning, and we will be happy if joined our school" that's all it said. A little strange for a letter like that.

But now I'm on a train, on my way to school. Of course, I looked this school up, but before we get into that after I sent them the letter saying I wanted to join I got another back. "We will be looking forward to meeting you, see you there, and we will be happy to call you one of our "ultimates" -Upon arrival"

I researched all the information about this, it's a newly built school, all the students are known as ultimate. I found websites talking about them.
Mable is said to be the best soccer player. Aaron is known for his cooking, and Jeffrey is known for his football playing. The list goes on and on.

I hope they aren't in my class I was assigned to this school for higher learning. My train comes to a stop I run to catch my flight, the school gave us our private Plane.

I get on the plane, "ah," said a girl, "Woah another student" said a boy. "God fucking shit this better be the last one," said a girl. I sit down next to a guy, "hello" I say, "hello," he said. "May I know your name? my name is Alexander" I say. "My name is Keith nice to meet you, I take classes in debating," he said.

Finally, I meet someone else who takes debating like me I hope he's in my class. "Me too I was scouted by it, I don't like taking those classes though," I say "honestly I love it, but I want to try another thing, this is what this school is about, reaching your full potential," he said. We both smile at each other.

I guess I should talk to the other students, I walk up to a girl "hey" "hello my name is Mable, I'm good at soccer" I shake her hand she seems nice. The plane comes to a stop, and we all grab our bags and head to the school.

Standing in front of the school gates, I take a small step and head in. Everyone behind me is whispering as we walk into a dark empty school. The door closes then a wall falls completely locking us in. Everything is dark.

A light shines on us, "Welcome fellow students, you all are welcome, I am your headmaster" said loudspeakers. "And I'm very glad to meet you all," the light shines on a guy with a mask holding a microphone. One of the eyes on the mask has the school's symbols, "My name is X" he said.

"If you could all make your way to the gym that would be lovely," he said. The light shines on a double door, and we all start to walk to the gym, we still stare at him as we walk to the gym. The platform he's on lowers him down and he disappeared. The whole gym was dark, a blue light turns on behind the same masked guy we met.

He looks up and stares at us, then a green light turns on. A woman with a mask looks at us "hello I am one of your other headmasters". The light turns off. A purple light turns on "please save all further questions till the end" said a man. The light turns off a yellow light turns on "greetings" said a woman.

Then an orange light turns on "thank you for joining" said the man. The whole gym turns red, and the mask people bow to us. "Please get to know each other, but first," said X. The platform lowers them all down. Then the room is just dark red and smoke comes out of the ground. We all fall asleep.

I wake up next to, Keith, "wake up," I say while shaking him "what, where are we" "in the gym but where are the others". Then a small beeping comes from some type of ring, I touch it, and a hologram appears. "Welcome Alexander, the ultimate detective" "Welcome Keith, the ultimate debater".

"So these are our ultimate, let's find the others" we leave the gym and look around. "I found them," said Keith. They were in a type of kitchen and we all looked at each other. I guess I should get to know them, I walk to some guy "hello," "hello, I'm Aaron and I'm the ultimate cook" "hello I'm the ultimate football player and my name is Jeffrey"

"I'm Justin and I'm the ultimate sell marketer" "what's up I'm Giovanni but you can call me Gio and I'm the ultimate overnight sensation" "I'm stela the ultimate nurse" I meet more students "Jordan the ultimate singer"
"Beth the ultimate street racer"
"Nanni the ultimate Tennis player"
"Missy the ultimate designer"
"Adam the ultimate Gamer"
"Jean the ultimate sculptor"
The last three people were sitting.

Mabel was looking at her hands, "hello," "hello you already know who I am and I'm the ultimate soccer player" "yeah I do" I walk away "hey" I say "hey I'm tory" she said. I walk away "hey I'm Bonnie and I'm the ultimate farmer.".

16 students are here with me, and we sit down "Glad to see you all having fun, please make your way to the red door next to the kitchen" said the speakers. As I make my way I look at all the students, are these people really in my class?

I open the red door, and an elevator was there. I get in, and silence fills the room. Tension is waiting to be released, the elevator comes to a stop. The five masked people are there, in a chair. "Let us introduce ourselves, of course, you already know me. X" he said. "I am ice," said a man his mask had a shield on it "I am, the brain" his mask has a chess piece.

"I am Ari" her mask had a sword. "I am Hydro" her mask had sound waves.

"Well now let's begin the class trial, a class trial 0. Each class trial takes place here, there are 4 tables with 4 seats, the first table is "S Rank" the Second table is "A Rank" the Third table is "B Rank" the fourth table is "C Rank" Depending on how you communicate and Explain your evidence you will be placed at those tables" said X.

"Where will we be placed," I asked "sit down anywhere The headmasters will give you files, and the people seated at your table will have to figure the mystery out, after this class trial we will place you in the seats that seem appropriate," X said. I sit down everyone seemed to not want to sit with me.

Then Keith sits with me, I wave hi, and he waves back. The people at my table are Bonnie and Tory, Ari hands all of us a file. "Victim: Jenny, 5'9, Wrist cut up, Blood splatter all over the floor, fingerprints were only hers, Suspects: boss/Kelly, Bella/coworker. A cloth was found in the trash, Stab wounds on the thighs, a bone that had no teeth marks".

"Now discuss," said X. Ari staring at us, wanting us to talk I think she was observing us to see what rank we belong in. "Let's discuss what the murder weapon was," I say. "Yall I think it was the knife, you detective, you agree with me right sugar," said Bonnie.

"Yes, judging by the knife and the wrist we could make an inference that's how she died," I say "Yes but we could easily tell this case was a suicide," Keith said "I don't think that's the case if you remember there was cloth in the trash can, all you had to do was wipe your fingerprints and put the victims," I say. "But didn't she have some type of bone she can bite down on," said Bonnie.

"Well of course not, by looking at the file you can tell the victim didn't bite down on it, most likely the killer did that to make it look like a suicide trying to trick us, we don't have enough evidence to figure the killer but this case isn't a suicide," said Tory.

"I agree with that, I think this murder case has been solved not fully but just enough to figure out this wasn't a suicide," I say. "Times up now then let's see everyone's answers was this case a suicide," asked X "No, everything points to a different suspect but since we don't have all the evidence we can't tell who it is," I say. We all vote then, we got it correct.

"Well done children, now let me explain something, after discussing with your table, all the tables will form into a huge circle you must present your evidence. I'm letting you all get away with murder, and if the killer was not discovered they are allowed to leave but the rest of you must stay here and try to escape" said X.

"Wait murder?" I say "that's right this school is a killing game," said X "question, everyone in this courtroom has an ultimate," said Tory. "Yes, well now head to your dorms," said X. I go into the elevator and walk to my dorm.

We are in a killing game, I have to survive.
