Genesis: United Heroes

XIV

                    When the rest of them saw the old woman, everyone packed their things and quickly ran outside. They all looked at the door and the woman was standing there staring at them. Everyone turned and quickly started to walk away. Genna heard her name and turned around. The woman and the cabin were gone. Genna tapped Alex on the shoulder to show him, but everyone was already looking at it. Alex frowned. "Maybe it was a test." Genna shook her head. "Yeah, a test to put us far behind. Now Sarah is far ahead of us."

                   What Genna hadn't noticed was that it was really cold outside. She looked around and there was snow everywhere, and she was standing in a big pile of it. Alex looked around. "It wasn't snowing yesterday." They were all confused but had no time to waste. Everyone began walking. It was so silent that the only thing you could hear was everyone's feet crunching in the snow. They only had 7 days left. Genna checked her map. She could see their footsteps. They were right ahead. Genna looked everywhere in front of them.

                   Alex looked confused. "What's wrong?" "They're right here. They should be right here." "We are right here." They all turned to see Sarah in a black cloak, and Jayden was beside her with his cloak too. Sarah made an evil laugh. "You guys catch on quick." Genna frowned. "I was on to you from the start." Sarah rolled her eyes. "Too bad your friend here couldn't resist me." She grabbed Jayden's shoulder. He looked like a mindless drone. He stared at Genna. She saw his eyes. He was not the same person anymore. 

                 "Leave Jayden out of this. You don't need him." Sarah smiled." Oh, you see that's where you're wrong. He's going to help me with this. " Sarah held out a crystal. It was Poseidon's crystal. It could only be powered by a big energy force. "He can help me destroy this puny little world. So I can rule the new age of Demigods." "You won't get away with this. And even if you did, Jayden is the only one who could use it." Sarah smiled. 

                      "That's why he's going to do everything I say, because he loves me." Genna frowned. She didn't know if he really loved Sarah, but she had to try and save them all. "He doesn't love you Sarah." She giggled. "Oh, really? Jayden don't you love me?" Jayden looked at Sarah. Then he looked at Genna. He nodded. Sarah smiled. "See, he loves me" "But he loves me more." Sarah frowned. "Jayden dear, tell her that you love me and only me." 

                    Jayden looked up at Genna. He looked scared and confused. He closed his eyes and opened his mouth. "I love you and only you." Sarah smiled. Genna frowned. He opened his mouth again. "Genna" Sarah frowned. Genna smiled so big, it hurt her face. Sarah growled. She threw Jayden to the ground and pulled out a dagger and put it to his throat. Everyone panicked. "Any of you move, and I'll kill him." Genna put out her hands slowly. 

                      "Listen Sarah, we both know you're not going to kill him, cause you need him. Please you know you don't have to do this." Sarah stared at them angrily. Jayden was on his knees scared for his life and his friends. Most of all Genna.
