The three hit and dodge each other's attacks until the two fighting the hooded figure trip over a rock and land on the ground,
they both take off their masks, to reveal you and your friend Jade, squinting at the sudden light that shone into your eyes,
until a shadow loomed over the two of you, which belonged to the hooded figure who was now pointing their sword at You both
"We almost had you" Jade breathes out, trying to catch her breath,
you lay beside her looking up at the hooded figure as they too take off their mask, to reveal your other friend Kit whom had a huge grin on her face
"Don't beat yourself up about it, you know there's skill, and there's talent, and I just happen to have both" Kit smirks, down at you both, causing you to roll your eyes at the girl playfully
"Along with a generous amount of arrogance" you add, as Kit holds out her hands to you and Jade
"Gotta have that too" she struggles out, as she pulls the two of you to your feet
"Who knows? In a few years, you two might actually beat me" she says panting slightly, earning a chuckle from You
"Oh, we would have beaten you five moves back, if it wasn't for that loose rock" Jade gestured behind her, while Kit circles around you both
"It's not about mastering the moves, it's about adapting to your terrain, and, uh I'm just better at that than you guys are" Kit teases, coming up behind the two of you and whispering into your ears
Making both of your faces flush a light pink
"Yeah, superior in every way, your highness" you sling your arm around kits shoulder, earning a chuckle from the girl
"One day... I'm gonna prove it" Kit breathes out, as the three of you stare out at the beautiful horizon
"Tell me you don't still think about that" Kit exclaims, as she slings her free arm around Jade, pulling the both of you close to her as she continues
"you know, going beyond the barrier, having these wild adventures like.... We've always talked about" she rambles on, hypnotised by the green landscape ahead of her
you and Jade make eye contact before moving your gazes to Kit, then turning away with apprehensive expressions
"Uh Kit, we spoke to Ballentine earlier.." Jade escapes kits hold, turning towards her friend
"Yeah?"
But before either of you could respond Lachlan could be heard yelling up at the three of you "PRINCESS! I bring word from the Queen"
