You and Jade lie fast asleep in your beds, moonlight faintly creeping through your open window dimly lighting up your room,
A figure slowly emerges from the shadows, and carefully creeps over to Jade's bed, quickly covering her mouth with their hand, startling Jade awake from her slumber
"Hey, hey hey, stop. Stop!" the figure whispered revealing themselves to be Kit she retracts her hand from Jade's mouth, letting the girl breathe out a sigh of relief that no threat was present.
"You scared the blummins out of me!" Jade laughed quietly, gazing up at Kit Who had situated herself on her bed.
"I'm leaving." Kit said shortly "I came to say goodbye" she explained, looking over her shoulder towards where you lay fast asleep unaware of her presence,
A bittersweet small smile made its way onto Kit's lips as she turned back to Jade Who was now sitting up
"Kit" Jade sighed "I know you're upset.."
"I'm not. I'm not, I'm thinking clearly for the first time in my entire life"
"If you were, you would understand that running away.."
"This isn't about marrying Graydon" Kit cut in, shaking Jade's shoulders gently
"I mean it is but...I'm looking for something...and it's not here.. it's out there" She locked eyes with Jade "Beyond the barrier" she breathed out while gazing deeply into Jade's eyes almost like she'd become lost in them,
Kit inches closer to Jade their faces almost touching until she passionately presses her lips against Jade's, they eventually both pull away for air touching foreheads, Jade blinks up at Kit dumbfounded, the kiss rendering her speechless
"You and (Y/N) are going to be great knights" Kit smiled warmly,
She then moved over to your bed gazing down at you lovingly before leaning down and giving your forehead a light kiss and gently brushing a strand of hair from your face, A feeling of guilt building up inside of the princess..
She reluctantly moves to the open window but before she makes her exit, she turns back to face Jade "but I'll still kick both your asses" she beams before slipping out the window, And scaling down the wall of your home into the night.

Later In the castle courtyard Kit holds a maroon bag strapped over her right shoulder, she carefully spies around the corner of a stone wall, but before she starts to advance any further you and Jade come up behind her startling the girl
"Oh, God!" Kit yelps backing into the wall behind her "If you think you're gonna talk me out of this.."
"We know you well enough to know there's no talking you out of anything, I'm just asking you to wait a little bit longer" Jade explains, while you rub your eyes drowsily from having been awoken in the middle of the night a few minutes prior..
