Jimin's hands are so warm.

And taehyung had to stop himself from cooing out loud when he took note of the noticeable size difference in their hands.

Jimin's hand fitted just perfectly in his like he was made for him and the thought only elated his wolf when they kept walking down the forest floor to reach the town near by.

Taehyung had offered his hands mindlessly to the omega like it was second nature, only realising what he had done when jimin kept staring at his outstretched hands wordlessly.

His ears were burning red when he panicked and tried to withdraw his hands, brain glitching for a second when jimin not only slipped his palm into his hands but intertwined their fingers together.

The omega then smiled at him with cheeks that flushed red and taehyung was so sure he wanted to bite them.

As they kept walking, jimin sidled up to him, their shoulders bumping together.

The omega was still in bare feet, trudging down the rough path, taehyung's cloak on him fluttering briefly in the gentle wind. Taehyung had offered jimin his shoes but the omega stubbornly refused each time so taehyung couldn't help but worriedly glance down at jimin's feet, whose sole was an angry red.

His wolf was picking at him to convince his stubborn mate, urging him to not cater to remain stoic to his mate's refusals.

Taehyung had enough when the omega stumbled on a rock whilst walking and he had to grab jimin to prevent him from falling face first to the ground.

Jimin just gave him an embarrassed smile after regaining his balance, patting taehyung's arm twice in reassurance before walking forward away from him.

Taehyung followed the omega in quick steps, reaching out to jimin with  his hands around the omega's shoulder and twirled the smaller around.

Jimin stared back at him in confusion, eyes widening in surprise when taehyung got down on his knees with his back turned and tapped his shoulder to gesture the omega to get on his back.

'My lord' jimin called silently 'it's okay I can walk' the omega continued when the alpha didn't got off from the ground.

Heaving a deep sigh taehyung raised himself back on his feet to turn around and stare at jimin with a disapproving look.

How headstrong is his mate actually?

[Taehyung wants jimin to call him by his name.

(Taehyung had murmured his name to the omega's ear when he had jimin in his embrace and silently enjoyed jimin's heart picking up its pace whilst pressed up to his chest, the scent of honeysuckle too sweet and irresistible).

The first time taehyung heard jimin calling him 'lord', he asked the omega to call him by his name but jimin refused him with a shake of his head saying how it is inappropriate to call someone of taehyung's rank by their name.

Taehyung could only stare at his obstinate mate in bewilderment].

Crossing his arms across his chest, taehyung stared at his mate who was picking at the long sleeve of his cloak and peering at him unsuredly with large eyes that sparkled in the daylight.

Taehyung really really wanted to scold jimin for acting mindful of his own needs but the way the omega was gazing back at him worriedly was making him very weak.

His mate sure can persuade him into doing everything with just a simple look.

'Jiminah' the alpha began, reaching out to hold the omega's hand to tug him closer, 'Don't push yourself too hard. You are only going to hurt yourself more if you continue this' taehyung said giving a light squeeze to the small hands that clutched his fingers.

'My lord but its fine, I can walk for a little while longer' the omega refused again.

Letting out a sigh of fond exasperation, taehyung got down on his knees and grabbed the omega by his thighs to hoist jimin up on his back in a piggyback ride.

'My lord, please wai-' Jimin protested then squealed with the sudden movement, hands flailing to grab something, later settling it on the alphas shoulder.

Taehyung let jimin adjust himself on his back and chuckled lightly when the smell of honeysuckle turned sickeningly sweet.

Pleased.

His mate is so easy to read.

'Jiminah, hold on to me tightly' taehyung said before resuming walking forward with jimin on his back.

A second later, jimin with hesitation wrapped his arms around the alphas shoulder and brought his face down to place his chin atop taehyung's shoulder.

Taehyung's heart thumped wildly in his chest when the omega inhaled his scent deeply and began purring lowly.

Taehyung's wolf began purring in response, so endeared by how their omega felt safe with them.

Taehyung wants so badly to bury his face in his mate's neck and immerse himself in the scent of honeysuckle.

Wants so badly to scent jimin and combine their scents together.

But not now.

Taehyung walked down the bumpy road carrying his mate on his back with a heart full of unbridled love for jimin, his wolf humming a tune inside his chest.
