Basic Info Darviel was orphaned at a young age along with her twin brother. Their parents were murdered, leaving them on the streets, stealing to survive. Around the age of 20, Darviel witnessed the murder of her brother. He'd been caught stealing and the murderer decided to take justice into their own hands. She lives alone now and runs a bar. She made a deal with the local mafia in order to buy the place. She gets to run the bar and make a living, and they get to run drugs through the back room and call her in on occasion when they need help with interrogations. The local government has longtime had a goal of 'purifying' the city. They finally began driving out non-humans by any means necessary, which led Darviel to seeking out the mafia to help hide her elven heritage. They were the ones who performed the procedure to round out her ears and make them more human looking. You can tell that something has been done if you look really close.
