Has there ever been a time in your life when you question your very own exsistence? In some cases, certainly, but only those instances when that is the result of something other than what you wanted the outcome to be. And even then you're not necessarily sure. Remember being young and full of love, remember having a lot of friends and loving the time you spend when they all came together. It was good fun with them for a while. It makes you forget about all the terrible things that happened in your life. But it also left its mark—that feeling of belonging, the sense of safety, and even an almost unspeakable sense of satisfaction.

Four main kingdoms that used to live in harmony had fallen apart, and many of the other relatively smaller kingdoms were going into ruins. The war between the kingdoms would have led nowhere if these people hadn't gone to each other for help. They didn't fight each other, no, because this world wasn't built up from wars between four rival empires—it built itself up from alliances forged among common people who worked together for a common goal. Power.

Hyosho, the kingdom known for their confident and powerful nature was a large empire, with a population that swelled quickly, its walls protected the land against invaders. It wasn't a massive empire unlike the Miraju kingdom, but it could protect itself well enough as long as it knew that it was surrounded by allies, who had learned to work together for the greater good. So, Hyosho built great, strong walls, and they stayed strong for many years after that. This is when the war started. The walls became weaker. Their guards grew less effective and less reliable, and the citizens began complaining. There were rumors, too, of spies attacking villages on the borders and enemies creeping through the woods.

The Shirosagi family, the rulers of this region were more skilled warriors than most and had the help of the Miraju kingdom home of the ice dragons, but despite such potential, the Viesta kingdom was an enemy. They where known for their creative designs but not necessarily as reliable as Hyosho's architectonics. The Viesta kingdom had a knack for making plans and execution that often proved successful, but sometimes failed spectacularly. The Viesta King and Queen never failed to win an attack or two but always had to come up with new ideas for the next attack, their city buildings were always getting bigger and better, they were made out of fine materials which gave the impression of durability without actually being able to withstand impact or battering ram.

The prince of the Viesta, Shu Kurenai was adored by many ,but he was also loved by his subjects, especially his mother. Her name was Hana, and she was quite beautiful. She had pale smooth skin and hair just like her son. Her eyes were a bright ruby red, but she preferred to stay away from society and focus on her husband and children. Her son had gotten paler in color, but he still managed to shine a brilliant light that could be seen across oceans. He had inherited his father's talent for creating beauty and his mother's passion in art. He had long soft white hair with dazzling crimson eyes that you could stare at all day. He had a simple silky t-shirt with golden beads in the corners and a white vermillion coat with an embroidery of an Arabian Jasmine blossom on his collar. He had no jewelry except for one silver charm hanging around his neck given to him from his father shaped like the sun. His sword hung at his side along with his scabbard, which contained a bow and arrow. He was most definitley bright but was shy and withdrawn in his own way.

He was quiet and reserved to a degree which was hard to believe. However, he was also kind and generous, and strolled on his horse around the city taking in the view. When he wasn't riding he practiced with the sword and arrows, though he usually took turns with Shu as he needed a break or was otherwise occupied. Shu's father had told him he could take as much time as he liked, but Shu insisted that Shu take charge and do as he pleased. And so he did. You could say that his life was perfect but the journey he had ahead was far from that. Shu did his daily activities and was eventually called to the palace for his princely duties.
