Fire......

I wake up at the sound from Brooklyn mewing next to me. Outside it rains hard and i hear the thunder. I see a flash and sit up straight. Its all dark....but i see the sun very low on the sky. I look at Brooklyn. Brooklyn thrills and i hold her in my arms. Mom is awake to and i hug her. I see a flash again and Angus whines softly. I pet him on the head and look at April. She shivers and hugs my mom sleeping. I give her my jacket and the hear the thunder again. This time louder! Suddenly i hear a very loud bang! Like something explodes. Mom stands up fast and i do to. 'W-what was that?' i say. I sniff the air smelling smoke. I look at my mom. I hear a crack above me and i see a flash again. A lightning bolt strikes. It goes so fast that I can hardly see it. There is a fire in the building. I look at mom. She quickly grabs April and we run to the door. When we are almost at the door, a burning plank suddenly falls in front of us! I'm scared and we run back. April cries and i look at mom. She looks at me breathing heavily. My heart beats in my chest. We are trapped in the fire ...... The fire spreads and I grab mom's hand. I run upstairs. When we are almost at the hatch to the roof I see that there is also fire, just in front of the hatch! I run back quickly.

I look at the door and just see an exit. I hear a loud scream from behind! I turn around quickly and see only April, who falls to the ground. April cries even louder and I see two burning planks. 'NO!' I shout and run to the shelves. Between the planks I see my mother's face disappear in the sea of flames. I see the flames getting higher. Above me I see a burning plank come loose. I run away just in time I grab April's hand and run to the exit. I run outside into the pouring rain. I run far enough from the house into the state. I stop and look back. I see the burning house. Tears roll down my cheeks as it starts to rain even harder. April hugs me tightly. I run to the house screaming. 'NO! MOM!' I scream loudly. April is behind me on the street crying loudly.
The rain makes the fire stop and after a few minutes its done. I run fast to the burned down building. I look for any symtones from mom but cant find her. Tears roll down my cheeks as i fall down on my knees. It rains softer now and the sun is coming up slowly. My hair hangs aroud my face in small peaces. I look before me. On the ground i see my moms necklace. I take it in my hands slowly and look at it. Tears fall down from my face as i hold it close to me. I feel a hand on my shoulder. Its April. I look up and she sits next to me. She hugs me. I look confused for one moment i look confused but then i hug her back. And there we sit in the half dark. On our knees at the foor from a burned down building. One more tear falls down my cheek. But i hold strong and let go from April. I look at her and smile softly. 'Remember you ones said to me that rain is a sign from happiness to you?' April says with a soft voice. I look at the burned building. The only thing that rest here is ashes,black burned wood and a few walls. I sigh. 'Mom loved the rain...' i say with a little voice trying not to cry again. I stand up and April does to. I take a look at the building and look at April. She looks at me. 'You look like mom!' she says with a soft smile on her face. I smile and sigh. I sniff the fresh air and then slowly walk away. It hurts leaving this place but......i just don't have the words. It felt like saying goodbye and giving it a place. When we walk trough the streets almost at the last house. I turn around one time again. 'Goodbye mom.......I love you....' i whisper and my eyes feel wet again. I wipe over my face and smile short. I turn around and walk farther. Its now April,Angus,Brooklyn and......me.... I look at moms necklace. I hold it in my hand tight and walk farther. The sun shining and a small smile on my face.........
