I wake up when its getting dark again. I stand up. Did i really sleep the whole day?! I think. I walk to the window. But it isn't dark....it is a big shadow from above. I run fast back and hide around the corner. Mom looks at me and i look back at her. When he shadow is gone i see a black thing floating away. I sigh relieved. I look at the kitten laying down next to mom. I sit next to them again. I have no idea how late it is. Probably afternoon....I take the kitten, mom looks at me. 'How are you gonna name it?' she says and smiles softly. I look at her and look around. I see a sign from the neighbourhood.
Brooklyn
'Brooklyn!' i say smiling. Mom smiles 'wonderful!' she says. I pet Brooklyn and she makes a soft noise. It slowly stops raining. The clouds float away slowly and after one hour the sun shines again. i stand up and walk outside. Brooklyn follows me slowly. Angus runs outside and barks happy. I run after him into the streets. Mom and April walk out of the building. April runs after me laughing and jumps into the pools. I hold her hand and we dance trough the pools, Angus jumps around us happy barking.
'WHOHO!' i yell and laugh. I stop and sniff the fresh air. It always smells so good when it just rained! My mom stands at the doorstep smiling and Brooklyn sits and makes her fur clean. I laugh and hug mom. She hugs me back and we walk farther trough the streets. Brooklyn walks after us slowly but good! We walk trough the streets. I see a dear on the streets it trots. I stop and look at it. It stops a moment and then trots farther.
That late afternoon i sit on a roof. I look at the pink sky. A warm breeze goes trough my hair. Brooklyn sits next to me and i pet her. I lean with my head on the roof.....the silent the rest...the only thing i hear is birds singing a happy song. I close my eyes. And one moment i feel like the lonelinest girl on earth....
But then i think of everyone who is now with me and i get a warm feeling in my stomach....I smile.....'im not alone' i whisper...
