EMILIA'S POV

I walked around searching for where Isla could have possibly ran off to. The music was blaring Gasolina as the lights flashed a purple / blue color, illuminating everyone in the club slightly.

I took out my phone and looked for Isla's contact.  My ringer could barely be heard over everyone, I went over to the bathroom and sat in a stall waiting for her to pick up.

ISLA 🌹🌹

¡Hola Emi! I'm sorry for not
telling you but I found myself a
date!

Oh. Uhm it's fine.  You
were supposed to be my ride home
though.

Really? Sorry amor! I'll
call you later as we're almost there.
¡Adios!

The hung up sound played throughout my ears over and over again. Sometimes Isla forgot about everything as soon as she sees a hot guy. I don't blame her but it certainly makes me disappointed in a way.

I got up and out of the stall and headed back out to the dance floor. I walked around and decided to just have fun for a bit. If i'm gonna come to a club, I might as well get drunk while my dad's out of town. Right?
I walked up to the bar counter and waited for the bartender to come up to me.

"Hola, ¿en qué puedo ayudarle?" (Hello, what can I do for you?) The bartender said as he was mixing a drink already.

"Sólo una ronda de chupitos de vodka. Gracias." (Just a round of vodka shots. Thank you.) I asked.
Once he went to get a few shots, I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. I decided to scan the bar as I saw a couple of people sitting in a booth. I tried to squint thinking it'd make my eye sight better to get a better look at whoever was in there. They looked important as a couple body guards were near them.

I took out my phone and took a zoomed in photo, although the lighting didn't help my situation. I sent this photo to Isla asking her if she recognized any of them. Isla knew about anyone and everyone if they're famous. She almost needs to as it's important to know people just incase they come up in interviews or conversations.

The bartender set down the round of shots. I thanked him as I turned my body back to face the counter. I quickly went through the shots as they burned my throat. I never got used to the burn of alcohol once you take a shot or a sip.  I started to ask for more shots as I needed the stress of my work and of Isla to go away for a bit. I could feel the effects kicking in as I drank more.

As I've been here before, I just told the bartender to put this on my tab as I didn't have the time to pay him the correct amount. I checked to see if the booth of people got up, and only a few did. I searched around to see if I could see any familiar faces but I couldn't.

I stumbled onto the dance floor and decided to dance when a guy came up to me. He didn't look like he was from around here but I decided to see what he wanted. I didn't have the time or patience for any fans.

"Uh.. ¡hola! May I buy you a drink, you're very beautiful." The guy uttered out. I scanned him up and down, he wasn't exactly the cutest but I can't pass up a free drink. I tried to think of the correct english words before starting a sentence.

"Sí. Please get some uh.." I came to a stop as I wasn't sure what I wanted. "Whatever you rec.. uh suggest." I replied. I wasn't sure how to pronounce some english words even though I've been learning it all my life along with spanish.
