I .𝚗𝚎𝚠𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚜 ✈︎

Third person POV:

Water droplets fly above the water as Ami watches the children play fight in the depths of the ocean surrounding their home. The sun beats against there drenched skin and faces ,as the early morning unwinds.

Kiyami's always found peace is the laughter of children. She could only imagine her own young splashing around her. It brought warmth inside her heart to think of such a paradise. Especially to think of the fun she would have with her baby sister,Maya.

Maya was only a few weeks old ,not nearly old enough to wade in the water on her own.That's why Kiyami's parents didnt spend as much time as they used to with her. They were either tending to the babies needs ,or trying to catch a some sleep after their hard day. This left Kiyami with nothing to do but work on her own or relax on her own. Even though  there wasn't any family around for her, there was still Tsireya her bestfriend since birth,literally .

Tsireya and Kiyami were inseparable. If you didnt see Tsireya or you couldn't find Kiyami ,they were supposedly with one or the other. They both met each other through their fathers, Kiyami's father worked for the chief as his guard, over the years they too became buddies,their wife's were another story. But even though they didn't get along, that didn't stop their husbands friendship. And when one thing led to another ,Tonowari was blessed with a daughter ,Tsireya,a few months later Kiyami was born.

15 years later,here they are.

Small waves rippled back and forth against Kiyami's ankles, the fresh smell of sand ponged against her nose.She grimaced. In the distance ,she heard the boom of a horn being blared behind her. Kiyami decided to investigate the noise.She walked along the sand onto roots of the Tree holding all the peoples houses together.On her way she came across Tsireya in the water.

" Reyaa! , Kiyami called out. "what you up to ?"

Her ears perked up as she heard Kiyami's voice,eyes big as bowls.

"Hey Ami, Tsireya called back ,"Nothing much, how about you?"

A smile painted slowly across Kiyami's  face, "Oh nothing! Just wondering if you wanna come and investigate with me?" She said,as Tsireya floated towards her ,ever so elegantly.

" What do you mean,investigate? Tsireya questions curiously as her friend lays down to face her.

"Didn't you hear the horn?, Kiyami says lifting an eyebrow .

"Oh yeah ,I heard there's new comers at the entrance,supposedly there from the forest just north from here."Reya exclaimed.

"Well I'm gonna check it out,you coming or what?" Kiyami asked.

"Definitely!" Reya says with a wide smile on her face.

She starts to make clicking sounds with her mouth as to call her ilu ,Kiyami does the same.Both their companions swim towards them , Kiyami gently dives into the water and mounts her ilu. She connected to bond with it and the two friends start to swim toward the entrance of the village.

Kiyami's POV:

Swimming through the coral reefs and fish, I start to wonder how these people will look in contrast to us. It's not usual that we have visitors ,but it's not unusual either.It's been quite a while since we've had newcomers at the village .None the less I'm still very excited to see who is waiting for us at shore.
