"I... fucking... hate you! I... am.... disowning you... as my... best friend!"

Jaya took no notice of my hatred towards her and just laughed as we jogged around the neighborhood. It is 6 am and we have been jogging since 5 am. Pagod na ako! Luckily, we took a break by the park in the neighborhood. Agad agad naman akong umupo sa bench at sinipa-sipa 'yong hangin, attempting to hit her but to no avail.

"For your information, I am not the athletic type!"

She slumped down beside me and nudged my shoulder, "Sabihin mo lang na tamad ka at mamahalin pa rin kita, Kira."

Pagkatapos namin magpahinga, nag-jogging ulit kami around the neighborhood until we reached our favorite cafe, Haven Delight. "Good morning, Tita!" Bati ko sa may-ari ng cafe.

"Welcome, girls!" Lumapit si Tita Gemma at niyakap kaming dalawa. "Ba't basa kayo?

We were baristas and performers once a week. Then we got recruited by an agent who visited the cafe while we were performing and gave us her number saying we had potential. Tita Gemma has been supportive ever since until we debuted in a Ppop girl group. Though we came to visit often and even volunteer to help out in our free time like this morning.

"Do you girls have plans for the summer?" Tita asked once we were seated on a booth with a cup of coffee in our hands.

"May performance kami sa Summer Jam this week.

The cafe is at its busiest during lunch. We talked for a little while longer before saying our goodbyes and preparing ourselves to go to work. When we got there agad kaming dumiretso sa dance studio at nag-practice para sa Summer Jam.

"Nicely done, ladies! I think that's all for today. Go home and get some rest, be here at the same time tomorrow." Agad naman ako umupo sa sahig, Jaya joining in on me.

This was my dream, to be able to perform and dance in front of a million of people. Music has been the love of my life ever since, writing a music on my own was a goal I really wanted to achieve but could never do. My best friend since high school and my sister by choice. She could write music effortlessly and share her emotions through her singing.

I envied her but at the same time I admire it. "Hey," I said to get her attention. I sat up and looked down on her from my side, "Uwi na tayo, may gagawin pa ako."
