Y/n L/n returned to the apartment of her and her childhood friend and boyfriend Ian with a sigh after a long shift at Popov's Big Top Yogurt-Topia.

She hated working there, but it was a small job until she could find her dream job that needed someone of her three degrees. She hung up her jacket and walked into the living room to see Ian sleeping on the couch while she shook her head before covering him up with a blanket just as her cell phone went off.

Y/n looked at the caller identification and stepped into the kitchen before picking up the call.

Y/n: "Hey, Shaun. What's up?" She asked while looking through her groceries and thinking on what to make for a quick lunch.

Shaun: "Have you seen the news? The studio company I'm working at right now is bringing back you're favorite retro show: Sunnytime Crew Show and their looking for a woman to play a new part replacing the old character of Sunny Day Jack." He said as Y/n nearly dropped her phone went he told her but dropped a bag of baby carrots. "I'm outside and waiting for you, this could be your big break, Kitten." He said before seeing the s/c young woman running out of her apartment and outside then slides to a stop in front of his car with her guitar on her back.

Y/n: "Let's go Shaun!" She exclaimed happily out as she got into the car and buckled up before Shaun drove to the tv show studios.

???: "We're not going to find anyone perfect to play Sunny Day Jamie let's just scrap the role." They said until the doors were thrown open to show Shaun and Y/n. "Shaun, what are you doing here, and who is this?" They asked

Shaun: "This is Y/n L/n, and she's a good friend of mine plus I think she'd be perfect for Sunny Day Jamie role." He said seriously while the producer looked over Y/n before motioning her to go onto the set where the studio was testing how actors would connect with kids and gave her a script.

Y/n looked at the script confused by it, even as the lights shined on her til a staff member was bringing in a young girl around the age of five near six holding a teddy bear before the staff member took the bear away making her cry out sadly as the young girl fought to keep their bear. Y/n looked at the staff member angrily before tossing the script aside without a single care.

???: "Why did she just throw the script away?" They asked Shaun til he pointed out the crying little girl. "Huh?" They said as Y/n tapped the staff member's shoulder and whispered to them to leave so now she was with the crying little girl alone, their grandchild.

Y/n took a deep breath, kneeling to the girl's level and slowly began playing her guitar as she got the girl's attention while they began sniffling a bit. Y/n smiled down at the little one kindly before wiping their eyes dry with a tissue then began singing out 'The Magic of Friendship Grows' from MLP. In a sweet and kind voice.

She looks at the little girl who looked at her with wide eyes as Y/n stood up still playing her guitar then walked towards the back drop of Cloudytown with the child following after her not knowing that the cameras where filming her into a green room filled with children and their families.

Y/n stopped at the back drop and helped the little girl onto the stage before stepping on herself when Shaun took hold of her guitar and played it for her while she kept singing out.

Y/n slowly guided the little girl to stand onto her shoes and began to dance around as the young girl began smiling at up her, laughing happily.

Y/n smiles warmly at the little girl before picking them up and spun them around while the children in the green room quitely came out of the green room to watch Y/n playing, laughing, and making the girl smile

Once the song was done, Y/n set the girl onto the floor and knelt done to smile at them.

Y/n: "Don't cry, little sunbeam. Let's see you give me a big and warm smile." She said in a warm yet motherly voice only for her eyes to widen when the little girl suddenly hugged her, but was even more shocked when she said.

???: "Thank you, Sunny Day Jamie." She said as Y/n slowly hugged her back in a warm hug. The kind of hug you'd get from a good friend, a beloved family member, someone who you can trust completely as the warmth reflected that of a perfect sunny day. "Grandpa, She's perfect for Sunny Day Jamie!" She called out as the producer walked over and took their granddaughter into their arms.

???: "I can see that, Jesse." They said before looking over at Y/n as Shaun gave her back her guitar. "Ms. L/n would you please accept the position of the character of Sunny Day Jamie in the Sunnytime Crew Show?" They said while holding their right hand out.

Y/n: "Really?" She questioned looking down at the producer's hand before shaking it firmly. "Yes, I'd be honored to play Sunny Day Jamie, sir." She said as she smiled brightly as the sun itself before hugging Shaun tightly.

Soon, After a few days Y/n meet up with the rest of the cast and her co-stars and then in the first day of Spring, Y/n stepped of sun curtain wearing the primary colors of red, blue, and yellow, brown pants, red sneakers on her feet, her h/l h/c hair was covered up with a long sky blue wig. Her s/c face was decorated with red strips on her cheeks, chin, underneath her eyes and the last one on her nose.

Kids: "SUNNY DAY JAMIE!!!!" They cheered out as Y/n gave them all a bright as the sun smile.

Sunny Day Jamie: "Good morning to you all, my little sunbeams!! Let's start today with a smile!"
