POISONS 101

Enola's POV:

   I headed to class in a small group with Billy, Marcus, and Ally.

   "Poor Lex," I said. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that out loud."

   "Eh, Lex is fine," reassured Marcus, wrapping his arm around me. "He'll have fun on his own, I reckon. I just feel bad that he has to go to AP Black Arts on a Monday morning, we have it tomorrow."

   "Yeah, Master Lin is real tough," mumbles Billy, looking down at his shuffling feet.

   "WOOOHOOOO!!!!" Screamed Ally. "THE BOY TALKS!!" Then she ran down the hall with her notebooks and into the classroom ahead of them.

  Ally came rushing out real fast. She was looking a bit pink.

"Wrong room," she said shyly.

   And for the first time today, I saw Billy give Ally a smile. A real smile.

We kept walking, and Marcus asked, "Do you guys wanna meet up at the graveyard tonight?"

I nodded and Ally and Billy agreed too.

   "I'll meet up with Lex after class, since Ally and I have Physcology with him." Then you added in Marcus's ear, "Give you a chance to talk to Billy, guy to guy."

Marcus's POV:

   I laughed as Ally came running out of the wrong classroom she had accidentally wandered into.

   When I saw Billy smile at Ally, I was so grateful for her making him happy, even if it was just for a second.

   "I'll meet up with Lex after class, since Ally and I have Physcology with him," I heard Enola announce.
Then she whispered in my ear: "Give you a chance to talk to Billy, guy to guy."

   I gave her a knowing look, we were all worried for Billy, he's never usually that quiet.

AFTER POISONS 101, AT MIXED MARTIAL ARTS  ~~~~~~~~~~~ WITH MASTER ZANE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

   I turned my chair around to face Billy, my only friend in Mixed Martial Arts on Monday. I asked him what he was gonna do about his dad.

  Although, his answer was not one I was expecting at all: "We're gonna kill him."

"What?" I whispered-yelled.

   "You heard me," Billy replied, his voice getting louder and more confident. "We're gonna drive to Vegas, and we're gonna hit every frickin' casino until we find my dad. Because like Master Lin said... Some people deserve to die."

   I was speechless, but when Billy asked if I was with him and if I would help him, I said:

"Billy Bennett, you are the craziest fucking person I have ever met, but you're also my best friend, and I love you."

   Billy gave me a weird look at the words "I love you"and I was happy to see him laughing. "I'll protect you at all costs. So of course, mate. Course' I'm coming."

Billy held out his hand for me to shake, so I took it. And at the same time, we both said... "Always."

So, um, that happened. 🤣 This actually does happen in Deadly Class, I just worded it differently. Please be sure to vote, it would really help a lot and encourage my not-very-good-at-writing brain to keep going an make each chapter better than the last. Sorry they're so short. Thanks for reading!
