for the first time in forever, you were early. only by two minutes though. seeing collei and tighnari, you waved at them and headed over to them.

"good morning!" collei greeted you, you return the action as the three of you began conversing about randomn things.

yet after a few minutes, the teacher had appeared, "alright everyone, gather around!" they yelled. getting everyone's attention.

the teacher explained about how the camping trip was a two weeks trip, and also how there were going to be mini events during the trip. they also explained how nature was important and blah blah blah-

everyone got in the bus and you were last due to having a tough time searching for your bag which was getting mixed up with the others'.

sadly, as a result, you had to get in the second bus which collei and tighnari weren't in.

the vehicle was packed, and you couldn't find any empty seat. desperately scanning the bus, you finally saw one empty seat somewhere close to the back. a grin made its way to your face as you hurriedly made your way and sat over there.

yet one thing you didn't realize,

was that the boy whom you had previously threatened, was seated next to you.

the one who had a crush on you.

your eyes widened as they locked with his. "it's you!" you exclaimed, seeing the blush on his cheeks. "uh, hi?" he gave you an awkward grin.

"uh, it's been a while?" you say, scratching your cheek. it was honestly really awkward between the two of you─especially after having that conversation.

"uh, yeah, i guess?" he let out a light chuckle. the awkward grin never leaving his lips.

the two of you looked away from each other, awkward silence now enveloping the air. neither of you deciding to talk.

the trip was long, boring. nothing to do. so you shut your eyes in hopes of somehow reducing the boredom you felt. yet you still couldn't sleep, much to your dismay.

"wanna listen with me?" the male next to you offered an earphone, still having the awkward grin.

you eyed it for a moment, thinking of what to say. "what songs are you gonna play?" you ask, if he was going to let you listen with him, the songs had to be to your liking.

"uh," his cheeks were lightly colored with pink, eyes looking away from yours from shyness. "mostly cigarettes after sex and the neighbourhood." he answered, now hiding his face but you could see the tips of his ears red.

your eyes widened, taking hold of the earphone and putting it in your ear. "you've got good taste."

his head immediately snapped towards you, face all flushed as his hair looked like it was floating. making eye contact with you, his heart rate increased and he looked down on his thighs. unable to contain the urge to smile happily.

"by the way," you say, side-glancing him. "i didn't get your name." you decided to state, recalling how you never got the chance to ask about his identity.

"ah," he looked at you, "my name's jun." he answered.

the two of you returned to the silent air, yet this time rather than being awkward, it was comfortable. one side of both of you's ear being filled with music.

the bus ride didn't end up being so boring after all.

10:01am

"y/n." you groan, not bothering to open your eyes and snuggling closer.

"p-please wake up─"

"nooo," you whine, hiding your face as your hand clutched whatever was next to you. the voice's breath having hitched.

he couldn't handle this right now. you, on his shoulder while hugging his heart─it was all too much.

jun had just woken up, only to find you asleep on his shoulder, while his head was on your's. his eyes had widened from seeing your sleeping figure, heart nearly leaping out of his ribcage when he saw your adorable face. sleeping so peacefully meanwhile he was panicking.

the bus had currently stopped, the students beginning to get off the bus as they had arrived at their destination.

how did he even end up in this situation? his poor heart couldn't handle this, it was all too much.

your sleeping face on his shoulder, your arms wrapped around his arm. meanwhile light snores left your lips. his eyes scanned your relaxed features, while students left the bus and only the two of you were left. since you guys were on the second last seats, the bus driver didn't see you and locked the bus. trapping you inside.

jun couldn't help place his face closer to your's, the sound of his heart beating against his chess being the only thing he could hear along with your light breaths.

how he treasured this moment, the first time he had ever had this kind of situation with someone he cared for.

he felt guilt and regret for his past actions, especially for how he got you in trouble. he wanted to somehow apologize to you, but had never found the chance to do so. after all, you were all too busy with other things.

his eyes then landed on your lips, which looked so soft, so kiss-able─as if it was begging for his on them.

yet he didn't do it, he couldn't.

not without your consent.

so all he could do, was just lay his head back on your's and wait for you to wake up from your slumber. not caring whether he was stuck in the bus.

as long as he was with you, that was all that mattered to him.
