“Remembering something that no one else can is a painful thing. You can’t talk to anyone about it. No one will understand you. You’ll be alone.” – Rintaro Okabe (Steins;Gate, 2010)

Chapter Two
Kyoka Jiro
Musutafu, Japan
7:30 AM
...Jiro sat quietly on the train, trying to calm her nerves. This was the first day of her time at UA Hero Academy, and even though she had prepared for this day, she still felt nervous. As the train moved along the tracks, she couldn't help but play with her purple hair. She wondered if she would be able to succeed, especially after being picked to be in class 1-A. She hated feeling nervous like this. Anxiety was such a pain and she wished she could just lock it all away.
The train came to a halt. However, it was not her stop. "I wish this day would just be over." She mumbled. It's not like she was ungrateful. She just hated pauses. Every pause felt like the air was being taken from her lungs, along with the heavy beating of her heart.
Not many passengers got on, a few men and women going to work, and a boy with green hair. Jiro had to admit the boy was rather cute as while he looked strong, there was a kindness to him. Across his face, he had freckles, and his eyes matched his hair and seemed to glee with a friendly purity.
"Excuse me." The boy's voice broke Jiro out of her daze. "You're going to , A right?" The boy asked with a warm smile.
"How did you know?" Jiro ask, d trying to keep the fact that she found him cute to herself.
"Well you are wearing a UA uniform and you were looking at me so I put the two together." The boy clasped his hands together and bowed his head. "My apologies if what I said made you feel in anyway uncomfortable.
"This boy is more akward than me." Jiro thought to herself. Even as the train moved he still bowed as if he were waiting for Jiro to give him permission to look up. She felt bad but at the same time relived that he didn't see though her true intentions.
"Don't worry, you did nothing wrong." Jiro said, trying to keep a friendly smile across her face.
The boy raised his head and smiled in relief. "My name is Izuku Midoriya." Izuku said, holding out his hand.
"Kyoka Jiro, it's good to meet you." Jiro said before patting the seat next to her. "We still have a little while to go. You should sit down." She said partially because she didn't want his legs to hurt and partially because she wanted him next to her.
Izuku obliged and sat next to her, keeping his hands on his lap. Jiro could tell he was trying not to rub against her in any way. He was truly the gentleman type, which was rare for a boy in his age group. Most boys were either loud, childish, or too agitating in general. Izuku seened different but in a tood way.
The train came to an immediate halt, throwing Jiro head first onto Izuku's lap. Burried right above Izuku's crotch Jiro blushed as she pulled away and felt her brain turn to mush.
"I am so sorry." Izuku said as he jumped to his feet only to fall back on the floor.
Her heart was racing, and she couldn't get any words to form. Normally, she was as cool as a cucumber, emotionless and empty. Almost every other day she could just go though life, walking through the motions and just existing. However, now her emotions were taking control of her.
Izuku slowly got to his feet as the train moved forward, slowly picking up speed as the automated voice announced they would now be approaching Hero's Mount the mountainous plateau upon which UA was built.
"It wasn't your fault. Besides, you seem nice enough." Jiro said as she got to her feet.
Even as the train continued on it's way the pair just looked at each other for what seemed like minutes until the train reached the station. "Thank you." Izuku said timidly.
Jiro wasn't sure why he was thanking her, but she liked it. Despite her worries, she knew that with Izuku by her side she could do anything. Maybe it was childish and idealistic, but for once she wanted to dream.

Author's Note
I decided to change things up and instead of having Izuku be the POV each of the girls would take turns with the exception of Chapter One. The book itself is a reference to a Christopher Nolan movie however it really doesn't have too much in common with the movie so don't worry too much if you haven't seen it. I do recommend you watch it all the same.
I hope you enjoy this book and if you enjoyed let me know! I'd be happy to read your feedback!
