Chapter Four
Ochako Uraraka
Musutafu, Japan
UA Hero Academy
7:50 AM...
Ochako Uraraka wasn't like other teenagers her age. Unlike her peers, she knew the struggles of debt and how it was money that pushed the cogs of society. One of the more lucrative options to make the money needed to inact change was to become a hero. Only a week ago, she took part in the UA Entrance exams where she nearly died.
A massive Goliath sized robot almost turned her into paste. However, she had been saved by a boy she couldn't get out of her head. Izuku Midoriya, the boy who saved her life. Yet now that they were reunited, Izuku was already surrounded by two other girls.
Not putting much thought into her actions, Ochako leaped at Izuku, embracing him in a zero gravity hug. She wasn't sure how he would react, but it didn't matter because, at that moment, all that mattered was having Izuku's full undivided attention.
"Ochako!" Izuku shouted in surprise as he tried to get to his feet to reach the ground to no avail. Noticing her quirk had activated, Ochako quickly released Izuku gently as they returned to the ground.
"I'm sorry Izuku, it's just that I hadn't seen you in a while and well." Ochako tried to explain herself, but looking at Izuku's innocent face made her mind lose its logical reasoning. She looked away from Izuku only for her eyes to land on the girl Izuku had just saved.
Her hair was elegant and smooth to an almost godly review. The sunlight reflected against her smooth skin, which held not even a single imperfection. Yet those aspects were nothing in comparison to the size of her breasts, which made Ochako seem flat in comparison.
"It's good to see you again." Izuku said with a smile. "Ochako, this is Jiro and." Izuku paused, realizing he hadn't gotten the name of the girl he had just saved.
Luckily, the girl spoke up before an akwaed silence could befall the group. "I'm Momo Yaoyorozu." The girl said. Her name was familiar to Ochako as the Yaoyorozu family was one she had often seen in online articles and on several papers from her parent's construction company.
"It's nice to meet you, Yaoyorozu." Ochako said with a warm smile.
"You can call me Momo. There is no need for us to be so formal." Momo said, knowing her parents would be livid if they found out she wasn't using the Yaoyorozu name. Yet despite her using her first name, the world around her didn't crumble, so she figured it was a sign that she didn't need to worry.
This was the start of the three girl's first meeting, and as they headed into the large and imposing school, the next stage in their hero journey was soon to begin.
...
Izuku entered the classroom first, where he was met with a blonde boy who glared daggers at Izuku. A look that seemed to soften without either saying a word to each other. The mood in the room seemed to flicker, but with students talking amongst themselves, the akward interactions
Ochako sat next to Izuku while Momo sat behind him and Jiro in front of Izuku. The brown haired girl couldn't help but feel jealous that the other girls were sitting so close to Izuku.
The door opened, yet no one walked into the room. For a second, the entite class was silent in confusion before a human sized catapillar crawled into class. It moved slowly yet with purpose, yet it had a human face that looked worn and drained. His face was unshaven, and there were two dark circles under his eyes, making him look half alive. Ochako's parents would sometimes work for days and nights without rest, and even they seemed more awake than this strange catapillar man.
As he reached the desk, he shed his catapillar skin, revealing it to be just a sleeping bag. "Hello students, if you are here, that means you by some miracle passed the entrance exam." His voice was empty and devoid of any positive tone.
This was just the start of his long explanation of both the rules and values UA expected of its students. From slogans to pdf files that go into great detail about the aforementioned rules. Ochako wasn't necessarily surprised that UA would have so many strict rules. After all, it was one of the more prestigious hero academies in the world.
"And with that, we will meet outside to showcase what you can do with your quirks." Aizawa said as he got to his feet.
Everyone got up out of their seating and followed Aizawa out of the classroom. Ochako made sure to take this opportunity to talk to Izuku.
"How do you like UA so far?" She asked.
Izuku put a hand underneath his chin. "Well, there are a lot of rules, but overall, I'm excited to start hero training." He said with a smile that gave Ochako's stomach butterflies. While they hadn't known each other long, it seemed that with every interaction, her love for the green haired boy grew.
"Rules serve a purpose." Momo said before quickly turning her head. Ochako wondered if the Yaoyorozu household was strict or if Momo was truly that mature.
"You have a point. After all, being a pro hero is a big responsibility." Izuku said as they desended the large staircase that led to the large field.
"These staircases are definitely going to take some getting used too." Ochako said as they reached the bottom of the staircase.
"If you can't handle the stairs than you should drop out of my class now, I have no intention of holding your hand though your time in UA, if you want to be soft work at a bakery." Aizawa yelled as if he picked up on Ochako's words.
The class went silent after that, but a faint and reassuring smile from Izuku kept Ochako's spirits afloat. Even though all of the evaluations, Ochako stayed strong and powered, though even breaking the record on a certain test. However, she saw that Momo's quirk seemed to have more practical uses.
She knew that all quirks had the potential to be great, but in comparison to Momo, she felt that her quirk was inadequate. However, seeing Izuku tell her how amazing her quirk was lifted her spirits slightly.
"Making something float infinitely is amazing." Izuku said with almost childlike glee.
"Well, I can't make myself float. Otherwise, I'd get severe stomach pains." Ochako admitted, blushing at her quirk's weakness.
"It's still a very useful quirk." Izuku said with a smile before he felt the ominous gaze of Aizawa fixating on him.
"Mr Midoriya, I assume you're going to be this year's problem, child." He said while his eyes glowed red, a sign he had activated his quirk.
It wasn't long until class ended, and Aizawa sent the class home seemingly in a better mood than he was at the start. Ochako felt that deep beneath his cold exterior, Mr Aizawa was a caring person. She smiled as she grabbed her backpack and hoisted it onto her back. Her eyes shifted to the window of the classroom, where she saw Izuku speaking to one of the other students.
From a distance, she recognized the boy as Katsuki Bakugo. She wasn't sure why he was talking to Izuku, but it seemed whatever Izuku was saying got under Bakugo's skin as the blonde stormed off. "I wonder if they are secret siblings." She muttered.
"Siblings aren't worth the hassle. If you focus on family ties, you won't become a hero." A low voice called out. Ochako turned to face the white and red-haired boy named Shoto Todoroki. "Not that I expect anything from you." He added as an extra insult to injury.
"Family and friends are what keep us motivated." She replied, feeling strongly that despite not knowing Izuku for long, she could create a strong bond between her and Izuku. A bond that would make both of them stronger.
Shoto just scoffed as if her comment had been a direct insult to his beliefs. "If you truly believe that you will never be my equal, despite what you believe your childish ideals will only get the people you love get killed." He glared daggers at Ochako before leaving the girl alone in the empty classroom.
