Prologue

"Athena Eloise!"my father called me angrily. I went out of my room and went to the living room where dad and mom were there. When I looked at the man standing while bowing, my eyes widened.

"What are you doing here, Acheron?!"he raised his head and stared at me as if asking for forgiveness. He bowed again and still did not speak. I look at dad and he's now have a whip in his hand. I know what will happened if i can't stop him."Dad! Put that down! Don't do this!"

"You really like this guy?"His voice boomed which made me even more scared. I couldn't answer because of fear. I know my fate when I answer him truthfully. I don't want to hurt Acheron, I have to keep quiet.

But I couldn't seem to because my foot moved on its own and walked towards Acheron and hugged him.

"step aside, Athena! I don't want to hurt you!"my father's bodyguards were forcing me to leave that room but I didn't want to, so I hugged Acheron completely.

"If you hurt, Acheron, you will hurt me, too, dad!"i scream that made everyone stopped.

When I realized what I had done, my eyes focused on mom. She's crying while stopping dad. It was the first time I yelled at my father so I didn't know what he could do to me. I didn't disobey my dad ever since I was a kid because I'm too scared

"Athena, just go."i heard Acheron whispered but i just ignored what he said.

"You want to know what i feel, dad?"he looked at me so that he could understand what I was going to say but he's still speechless."I don't like, Acheron, dad, I LOVE HIM! I really am!"i'm crying. I let go of my embrace with Acheron and i walk towards dad. I knelt infront of him."Dad, please, just be happy for me. Acheron promised me that he will never hurt me, he made me happy everyday, he always spoil me like you always do. He didn't have much money like we do but we both can live with it."

I hear him sigh."Leave.."i look up and i saw his angry face."if you want to be with that man, leave."

"Hon!"mom cried."no, you can't do that to our daughter!"

"I can"father said and leave the room. But before he leaves, he look at me and say,"I'll give you million and don't ever comeback here again."

Mom hugged me,"You can still comeback here, don't mind what your father said. He's just angry."

"It's okay, mom. I will never go back here. It's my choice to be with Acheron." I stand up and walk towards Acheron who's looking at me worriedly."Don't worry, i can live without that much money as long as i'm with you."

He hugged me,"Thankyou, love."

We left the mansion with all my stuff. Dad's butler give us 6 million and he gave me a small note. When i opened it, it's a note saying 'i'm sorry for what i said but i need to do that just to make you realize everything you've done'

After that, we left for San Diego and looked for a house to live in. Acheron bought a mansion with the money from dad so that I could sleep well.
