Dakotas P.O.V
It's not easy when your next in line to be Alpha and you don't have a mate. My father is Alpha to the Mountain View Pack and we all go to the pack high school. My father decided that if my mate was another kind of mythic then he would open the school to all kinds and not just werewolves. So now I'm sitting here trying to think of what my mate will be like. I wonder if she is a mermaid or maybe a vampire. I know that I will love her no matter what.
The most amazing scent hits me but it is mixed with blood. My wolf, Cole, yells out "MATE! MATE IS IN TROUBLE! MUST HELP MATE!" So I run as fast as I can, following the amazing scent to see a mermaid being pulled into the water by her tail and I see great whites under her. I run and jump into the water and pull their jaws off of my beautiful mate. I wrap my arms around her, grabbing her shell bra and pull her to land. Her tail dries right as she is fully on land and I see the huge gash down her leg to her ankle and my wolf is fuming. I look up at her face to see her eyes scanning my body, and I smirk knowing that the females can't always tell who their mate is right away. She suddenly screams out in pain and I see her turn into a beautiful white wolf with golden eyes.
I walk over to her amazed that she is werewolf as well as a mermaid. I turn and nuzzle her and say "You're so beautiful. I'm so happy you're my mate." She looks up at me and asks "What's your name?" I realize that I never told her my name and I don't know her name. So I say "My name is Dakota James Grey, and what is your name, my beautiful mate" I can see that she is embarrassed by the nickname I gave her and she says "My name is Amethyst Jasmine Ocean" I think that is the most beautiful name ever. "I see that you don't know how to change back. It's easy, just think of what you look like as a human." She whimpers as she changes back and I see her body fully as I change and grab clothes and put them on and then I hear her scream.
I realize that she didn't have any clothes so I run to the stash of clothes we keep everywhere and grab her sweats and one of my sweaters. I run over to her and hand her the clothes, and turn around so she can get dressed. When I feel her hand on mine I turn around and pick her up and start to walk back to the pack house where we are to meet to learn our bunks. On the way I link my father. "Hey, dad. Can you have me, Stefan and Damon in the bunk with Amethyst and her friends?" that is when I realize my mom was listening in because she sequels and says "My baby found his mate!"
"Yes mom, I found my mate and we are walking into the pack doctor's house right now." I say as I walk up to the door. "Oh no! Is my baby hurt at all?" I laugh a little at that and tell her to get over here. In about five minutes my mate is almost completely healed and my parents come running in. my mother squeals when she sees that my mate is laying against me and getting medicine. She runs over and asks "Where did you meet? What's her name? how many grandbabies am I goanna get?" my father walks over and makes my mother calm down. Then I answer the questions. "I saved her from great whites. Her name is Amethyst Jasmine Ocean. And no babies yet." And at that I get smacked across the chest by my now fully healed mate. "When did you get up? How are you healed?" she looks at me like I'm an idiot. "I am mermaid, fairy, and werewolf plus next in line for the throne of course I heal fast. I can also talk so stop speaking for me." She looks at my parents and sequels while running to my mother and saying something like "I'm so happy to see you" I look at my parents confused and my father says that him and her father were pack mates and best friends. They came to visit a while ago.
My mate finally let go of my mother and is now clinging to me as her brothers are running to us acting like they want to kill me. They run up and scream for me to let go of her. And I look down and kiss her then I mark her and look back at her brothers. They look furious and start yelling at me for marking their sister then the oldest looking one tells them to shut up and asks "Are you two mates?" she looks up and nods "Yes Chase. He is my mate."
