Jon was off, he had left his home to go for a decent stroll. He expected it to be a normal walk around the block but he was met with three familiar faces. Edd comes crashing down right infront of Jon. Edd got up and dusted himself off. "Good lord are you alright?!" Jon had a quick tone. He didn't care if it was Edd, to him a neighbor is a neighbor. Edd was surprised, resulting in him turning to the smaller man. "Oh it's Jon.. I'm ok, why do you care?" Edd was suspicious, it was his rival's roommate. "Well you did just kinda plummet from the sky.." Jon looked away and rubbed his arm nervously. Edd chuckled and sighed. "No no, I fell from a roof! We're roofboarding!" Jon looked at the man again. 'What in the world is "roofboarding"??' the male pondered for moment once again. After a minute, down came Matt, crashing in a bush. Jon and Edd gave their attention over to the strawberry-blonde male, climbing out of the bush and falling down to the ground. "Edd is my face ok?!" The tallest man stood up and felt all over his face. "Yeah yeah it's ok Matt." Edd and Jon looked back at each other. Jon cleared his throat. "So ehm.. What's roofboarding?" a slight awkwardness surrounded the two males, Matt ran off to continue with the silly adventure. Edd smiled, "Oh well it's where you get a skateboard and get on a roof! Then you go up to the top and skate down to the edge, you're supposed to jump at the edge off the skateboard onto the neighboring house!" Jon seemed terrified at this idea, the logic to it was nowhere to be found. "O-oh my.. That sounds dangerous.." "That's the fun of it though!" Edd seemed a bit more calm now, realizing Jon isn't close to being like Eduardo. "You should join us!" Jon's eyes widened a bit and he looked away. "I uhm.. I shouldn't.. Eduardo would be ma-" "He's not here right now though" Edd interupted. Jon looked back at him then looked around. "I suppose he isn't.. Ok then! I'll join! If you'll have me of course" Edd smiled more and grabbed Jon's hand, bringing him to the last house on the street. Matt and Tom were getting ready to do another round of the little game. Tom looked over at the boys. "Edd? Why is Jon here??" "He's gonna be joining us!" Edd let Jon's hand go and walked over to his friends. Jon shortly walked over as well. Matt and Tom were staring at him but dared not to question Edd. Edd got him all ready and soon enough, he was on a rooftop. Jon looked down nervously, his anxiety growing the more he looked. "Ok so when you get to the edge, launch yourself forward to the next rooftop" "What about the skateboard?" "You gotta keep the skateboard with you, jump the edge with it" Jon did NOT like that answer. He just looked down again and thought for a moment, shortly being brought out of his mind by a hand shoving him down the roof. He shut his eyes tight. The lad was too scared to say anything or scream, instead he made it to the edge and jumped, the skateboard stayed on his feet thanks to gravity. He made it to the next roof. Edd and his crew cheered for Jon. Jon slowly opened his eyes, looking shocked at what he had just done. "I-I did it.?" "Yeah you did it Jon!! Good job!" Edd clapped for him. Jon hadn't felt that adrenaline rush before, nor had he felt so successful. He smiled and stood up, picking up the skateboard and going to the next rooftop. Edd, Tom, and Matt all jumped and made it as well. The four boys roofboarded repeatedly, Jon was having the best time of his life. After about 3 hours of these silly games, Jon remembered what Eduardo said. "Oh the diet cola! Oh no I must've lost track of time!" Jon felt his stomach drop as he checked his watch. The time read off 2:30 PM. "Shit! No no no!" Edd looked at him. "Jon? Is ever-" Jon pushed the skateboard he used into Edd then ran. "I'm sorry!" and just like that, Jon was out of the three boys' sight. Jon ran all the way to the store. Stopping at the entrance to catch his breath. After he was able to breathe normally, he went in. He walked to the soda aisle and got two 12-packs of Diet Cola. He walked to the checkout and feared what his punishment would be. 'I should've watched the time! Eduardo's gonna kill me! God how could I have been so DUMB!" Jon wanted to punch a wall. Beads of tears formed in his eyes as he got the the register. "Are you alright sir?" Jon blinked and let the few small tears fall. "Yes I'm ok.. What's the price?" The cashier rang him up and he paid. He took the 12-packs and left quickly. Running as fast as his tiny legs would take him. He ran all the way back to his home. Reaching the front door and panting heavily. He sat on the porch quietly. He wasn't ready to feel the pain. His day was amazing! He made friends with his neighbors. He wished he didn't though. He knew Eduardo would find out and he knew it would hurt alot more. after 5 minutes he sighed and prepared himself. Grabbing the 12-packs and going inside his house.
