yoo douhyun

it was the next morning after our murder. i looked to my sleeping love. i smiled.

then my phone vibrated. i looked at it to see its from my reminders app.

it's his fucking birthday.

it's sangmin's birthday and i almost completely forgot.

i put my phone on my nightstand and turned to sangmin, wrapping my arms around him, giving him a soft kiss. he groaned. "what baby?" he mumbled lowly, eyes still closed.

i smiled. "happy birthday my love."

his eyes fluttered open with the biggest smile on his face. "aww you remembered."

i chuckled. "of course baby i always remember my love's birthday." i pecked his cheek, arms still wrapped around him.

he burried his face into my chest. oh how i'm so in love with this man.

"let's get up, hm? don't wanna be late for what i have planned for your day."

he nodded and got up to go get changed. i did the same, changing into a button up and some jeans.

as i was getting my shoes on, my phone starts ringing. i answered. "hello?"

"hey douhyun." a strong aussie accent pierced through my ears.

sangmin's old boss when he worked at the local cafe, bang chan.

"yes what you need?" i see sangmin walk back into the room, looking as stunning as always.

"ok so where do you want us to be placed?" he asked. "behind the counter. i gotta go." i hung up quickly, taking his hand. "ready to go?"

he nodded. "i'm always ready for you."

the statement was a bit innocent, but it lead my mind into a different universe. i blushed in embarrassement, taking him to my car.

"we're heading out!" sangmin shouted. "alright birthday boy! don't party too hard!" shouu shouted back.

"what does he mean by that?" he asked. i shrugged, pretending that i don't know shit.

we both got in my car. i started the engine and drove to the cafe.

"for your birthday, i planned something a tad bit special. you might remember these people."

"oh. old highschool friends?"

i smirked. "you'll see." he nodded and rested his hand on my thigh.

for whatever reason that drove me fucking crazy. goddamnit sangmin.

my own horniness aside, i arrived at the cafe. his eyes lit up so brightly. he got out and rushed to my side, opening the door and hugged me tightly.

i chuckled and hugged back. "you mentioned you wanted to see your old coworkers and see how they were doing. so i put this together."

i broke from the hug and took him inside. his face dropped when he saw no one. "where are they?"

about a few seconds later, everyone popped up from behind the counter and started singing happy birthday.

i never seen sangmin cry this much.

after the song was over, haechan, a longtime worker and friend of sangmin's walked over with a cake in his hands, candle lit.

"alright! make a wish." felix, another one of sangmin's old coworkers and i'm assuming chan's husband, said while walking over.

sangmin blew his candle out and everyone cheered. it made me happy seeing my love happy.

another one of his coworkers, yoel i believe his name is, walked up to me and took me to a seat far from the others while sangmin got caught up with the other three.

"so, when are you two making it official?"

i was confused. "what do you mean? we've been in a relationship for a year and it's pretty serious."

"no! i meant like when are you gonna put a ring on it?"

oh. i always thought about it honestly. i wanna marry him.

however, i don't think it's the time right now.

"soon. pretty soon hopefully."

yoel chuckled. "ah. well, when you two do, i better be best man." he got up and walked over to the others.

one day that day will come but now isn't the time i feel. i got up and followed him.
