I was arguing with Peter about what the answer was for our math assignment.
I knew he was wrong and I was right because I actually paid attention in class.
The other guys think just sports can get them scholarships, but they don't care about their grades. I do because I know I need good grades to stay on the team.
We were sitting on the football field after school when Sebastian mentioned to me,
"Hey look, it's that nerdy omega. What's his name? Victor?"
My wolf, Maverick, growled inside me,
'It's Vincent. My mate's name is Vincent, you fucker.'
'Quiet down,' I said through our link. 'We've got to act like we don't like him remember?'
'But he's adorable!! Look at his cute little face!!'
I looked over to where Sebastian was looking and saw Vincent happily preoccupied. He had a small smile and a light blush on his cheeks. He was sitting under the big oak tree with his knees up to his chest and nose in his book. He did look cute.
Sebastian snickered and got up to go bother him.
'No!! Get away from him you fucking piece of shit!!'
For once I agreed with Maverick.
I was tempted to get up and stop him, but that would make me look suspicious. So I stayed put. But I knew it wouldn't last long if Sebastian decided to call the rest of us over.
I'd have to put on an act showing him my loathe.
When I first met him he was running through the hall, most likely late for a class. He bumped into Sebastian and caused him to spill his coffee over me.
At first, I was furious, but when I slammed the boy against the lockers, I immediately regretted it.
I felt sparks surge through my entire body when I touched him. I knew then he was my mate. It didn't seem like he could feel anything so that means the Moon Goddess hasn't reached him.
I was so taken aback by this that the first thing I thought of was to keep hurting him.
Huge mistake. I felt like shit after that.
He was so afraid of me. So scared.
I knew Sebastian was watching and probably leading me on, so I kicked him in the stomach.
'What is wrong with you!? Don't hurt him!!'
I heard Maverick shout at me. And I'm not gonna lie, I was shouting that at myself too.
I spat at him, "That's for ruining my shirt."
I walked off, not really caring about the shirt. I was tearing myself apart from the inside, screaming and swearing myself out at how stupid I was to hurt my mate.
I heard him yelp again and I turned around in time to see Sebastian stomp on his leg. I didn't hear what he said though because I felt my blood boil.
Sebastian hurting my mate? Not happy about it. But I had to reluctantly keep my act up.
Since then, Sebastian has told the rest of the football team about the boy and how I totally "beat him up." And every time they saw him, they all told me to go and mess him up.
I did. Every time. And it broke my heart to see him cry and stare at me in terror.
I was interrupted by Sebastian shouting at the rest of us to come to him.
Vincent's tail was tucked between his legs and his ears were flattened on his head. I felt so sad inside knowing what I'd have to do.
'*sigh* Just don't go too hard on him, okay?' Maverick asked.
I agreed.
'Definitely.'
I strode over and put on a fake smirk.
Sebastian scoffed when Vincent tried to get his book so he put it in the tree. He jumped to grab it but barely came shy of the book.
I decided to treat him like a pup. To make fun of how much of a baby he is. That shouldn't be too hard on him, right?
"Oh noo~ Can the wittle omega not weach his book?"
He retorted by shouting at me to give it back.
I heard my friends edge me on, telling me to beat him up.
I pushed him to the ground, hurting myself more than hurting him.
"And what are you gonna do if I don't, omega?" I spat out the word 'omega' in disgust as a part of my act.
"It's not like you can force me to!"
Omegas were weak. Vincent was a twink, not being able to lift more than half his weight, which probably wasn't much. While I was over 200 pounds and had muscles the size of his thighs.
His big thick thighs... and his even thicker ass--
My friends laughed at my comeback, howling with laughter.
I sneered at the little omega.
Then I saw his eyes fill up with tears, hanging by a thread to fall down his flushed face.
Sadly, I mocked him again and said,
"*gasp* Is the wittle omega gonna cwy? Poor wittle puppy~"
The last comment wasn't a lie. I felt horrible.
The team thought otherwise. They laughed harder.
That was the last straw for Vincent. He broke into sobs, looking at me with betrayel.
He stood up and shifted into his wolf. It was brown like his hair, and smaller than most omega's wolves. Probably because he was male; they weren't very common. Another reason the boys bully him.
His shredded clothes flew off his fluffy body as he ran off.
All the boys laughed as he stumbled a little and ran into the woods.
They walked off, still laughing.
I made sure no one was around to see me so I stripped off clothes, making sure not to rip them.
Then shifted into a sleek, black wolf with shimmery yellow eyes.
I grabbed my clothes with my teeth and ran after my mate.
