Ben's POV:

Ainsley was currently telling me about her next doctor's appointment as I was focusing on putting the baby's crib together. It would be any day now and we would be meeting our bundle of joy. "Hey babe?" I hear Ainsley say as I finish putting the final screw in. "Yeah?" I mutter and then turn my head to look at her when I realize she sounds panicked. Then I see a puddle of liquid around her feet. My eyes widen and I quickly stand up. "The baby is coming..." she mumbles quietly and I grab the baby bag and grab her hand. "Let's go! I'll call Nikki on the way." I say, carefully guiding her downstairs and out to our car.

-------

Ainsley whined loudly as another contraction hit her. I tightly squeeze her hand and whisper comforting words to her, trying to soothe her. The doctor had begun to prepare us for the process of labor. Things were going well so far. "It's almost over." I say as I brush a lock of her brown hair out of her face. I frown  a little as she glares at me, her face filled with fear and pain. "We are never doing this again!" She declares as she squeezes her eyes closed. My thoughts flash back as I wondered if this would Have been this way if it were Rhi instead of Ainsley. But I couldn't dwell on what could have been. I have Ainsley now and we are a family.

-----

The sounds of cries could be heard as Ainsley pushed one final time.

"Congratulations! It's a healthy baby girl!" The doctor exclaims excitedly.

I sniffle and nuzzle my face into Ainsley's face. "We have a daughter." I whisper and Ainsley grins back at me. "She's perfect." She cries as a nurse places our daughter on her chest after cleaning her up. I gently rub my finger against the baby's hand and grin happily as she grabs tightly onto my finger. "I want to name her Rose Rhianne Burnley." She says, looking up at me. I tear up at the name and nod. "I love it. I love you." I say and kiss her temple.

A few days later, we were told we could go home with Rose. As I'm packing up our bags, I pause to look at my girlfriend. "Can I ask you something?" I ask nervously and Ainsley nods in confusion. "Of course." She says.

I gulp before pulling a little black box out of my pocket and kneel down on one knee. "Ainsley, I love you and I couldn't imagine you not being in my life. You have help me overcome the toughest battle in my life and I cannot thank you enough. You have already proven to be a brilliant mother to our daughter and I want us to truly be a family. Will you do the honor of marrying me?"

As soon as I finish my question, Ainsley lets out an excited squeal. "Yes! I will marry you!" She exclaims and pulls me into a bone-crushing embrace. I slip the ring onto her finger and press my lips to hers firmly.
