chapter 10

"Bye. " She said waving her hand . With a slight nod I closed my door. Probably this is the only word she spoke after our conversation at park.  Sirius jumped around happily before finally settling down on his mat. My parents expired exactly 6 years ago in a freak accident. We were very close to eachother. Never fought, manipulated nor we had boring environment at home.  I had never seen them arguing or forcing decisions on me. When I decided to chose something other than these brainwashed mpc bipc courses my parents never said a word.

" You deserve to be happy with the decision you take. So never depend on others opinion nor take decisions to please them"

That's what my dad said when I asked him if he is disappointed in me. My mom had great faith that one day I will earn better then them, settle in a good position where I don't need to struggle much to provide basic necessities to my future partner. For now my partner is Sirius who never complained to me.

But Naina?

Yes I want her. In a way no one can imagine.  I have been crushing on her since childhood.  My parents stayed in this very apartment raising me to this level. They knew I like her yet never discussed about it . They made sure Naina is involved in every birthday party of mine since childhood.  Not having enough income to raise another child my parents made sure I never missed having someone in my life from my age group.

My phone rang continously making me jog towards it. 

" Hello? " I answered.

" Hey man! Where are you? " my friend from Germany called me.

" I am sorry , I left my phone at home. " I apologized. 

" No worries dude. I am coming to India! Heard naina' s husband has been arrested for submitting fake papers to custom people . He's in shit deep trouble man for many reasons we don't even know!." He conveyed laughing loudly. 

" You know karma is a bitch." I stated.

" So glad to hear that man! Oops! I completely forgot to tell you! I am getting engaged next month.  My girlfriend is in India I will be joining her soon ! ." He informed .

" That's good news man! You getting engaged and married !." I said feeling extremely happy.

" It is going to be in Shilong Rishabh. My baby's parents stay there.  We want to explore the world as well as each other more so for now it's only engagement dude." He said with evil laugh. Conversation with him went on for an hour after bitching like old ladies we finally decided to mind our own work.

Explore each other?

I wish i had some girl or friend who will sit with me for gossiping but all I get is serial TV serial watching aunties at college who's main motto is to discuss what jewellery each character wore and how expensive they can look with cheap stuff. Sometimes I feel like an old uncle who is stuck between flock of aunties. 

Minding my own work I kept my distance from Naina, I don't want her to fall for my help I have offered to her or the way I took care of her situation. She might have realised her likeness for me or trying to move on from harsh past . I want Naina to take her life seriously not depend on me or anyone. For days she tried to meet me but I always maintained to have kainat with us. At one point for being so close to her that day. My friend Anish from Germany reminded me again that I should attend his engagement.  Not having much choice I took leave from college and booked tickets . On the day of my journey i saw Naina with luggage waiting for her cab. My introvert self struggled to offer my ride but I decided against it.  Her confession might be jovial one or serious she didn't hesitate to take another step after that it's better to be in my limits.
