You woke up with a gasp in a hospital bed . The smell of rubbing alcohol in the air . You were hooked up to machines and a IV . You saw no one around and you didn't know what was going on. You didn't know what was real or not but it felt as if it was just a delusion until you saw a doctor walk in the room along with ghosts , hunters and autumn. Riley was at home since they didn't allow the dog but this , this wasn't it . It didn't feel real and it made you wonder .
" Are you real ?."
You asked quietly .
" Yes we are here , you gave us quite the scare ."
Autumn said while Ghost walked over to your bed.
" I'm  doctor bishop , we've run some tests and found out that you had low blood pressure but it was fixed . You should be discharged soon but in the meantime you'll be staying here ."
Doctor's bishop said.
" You'll be a little old edge for a bit but you'll be okay ."
The doctor said while writing something down on his clipboard .
" I'll leave you and your family for now but in the meantime I'll be out running errands."
He said and he left the room leaving you confused and dazed along with a very worried Ghost . Soap and the others had gotten the news and started to fly out to go see you but for then you were in a bed costumed by lightheadedness and some very worried family members and a friend . Autum and hunter stepped out of the room leaving you and Ghost alone as family to speak and have some privacy .
" How are you feeling ?."
Ghost asked, concerned  .
" Is this real ?."
You asked again .
" Yes, it's real spook ."
He said as he held your hand and you looked at him . You felt the warmth radiating from him and you sighed in relief knowing this was real but something was off and you didn't understand it.
" Dad when I was out ...I remembered, when I was held hostage..I was back there and I felt it ."
You said weakly .
" It's one of the side effects  to the meds your on don't worry okay , that asshole is gone for good."
Ghost said sternly yet in a comforting way.
" Okay ...okay ."
You said quietly .
You sat up a bit , struggling to lift yourself up . Ghost got up and he helped you sit up straight and get comfortable.
" what happened before I was out ?."
You asked giving him a cold stare .
" Riley found you passed out and he dragged me off the couch and brought me to you . "
Ghost said  while sitting back down in the chair next to you . You coughed a bit a took a deep breath and saw hunter through the window from your room .
" let them in please ."
You said quietly .
Ghost nodded , respecting your wish and got up letting the two enter the room again . Hunter rushed to your side and he had a look of worry and concern across his face .
" hey y/n ...you okay ?."
He said quietly , sounding panicked .
" I'm fine, don't worry , I've been through worse ."
You chuckled a bit , getting a concerned look from him and autumn .
" oh sweetie when I heard what had happened I rushed straight here ."
Autumn said . Kneeling down next to your bed .
You gave a tiny smile towards her hoping to put her at ease .
" don't worry about me, I'll be fine ."
You told her gently , she gave you a nod while standing up. She went behind her and turnt back to you but she was holding a bag .
" Hunter and  I brought you some snacks since we know hospital food can be unappetizing."
She chuckled, setting the bag of goods down next to you .
" Thank you ."
You said softly while giving her a smile. Ghost kept his usual cold and intimidating energy and look. Getting ghost through the hospital was easy since no nurse or visitor wanted to be hear him . He towered over everyone so easily and had a very intimidating demeanor, especially with the mask he wore . Which didn't make it any better but at least he was able to get in and see you . The ambulance ride was a hitch since Ghost  didn't want the EMTS laying a finger on you but they reassured him you were in good hands. He only trusted the medics he worked with , not some normal civilian doctor/nurse . You looked down at yourself and you noticed you were in a hospital gown and your face immediately went red . Hunter looked at you confused .
" Why didn't you tell me I was wearing this ?."
You said, sounding panicked yet a bit angry .
" y/n I think you look fine ."
Hunter said nervously and rubbed the back of his neck while smiling. Ghost shot him a cold glance making hunters blood run cold . You tried to shrug off your embarrassment and you soon heard a knock on the door . Doctor bishop walked in with a clip board and all your heads turned to face him .
" Mr Riley , your daughter will be discharged in two days . We'll keep her here to monitor if anything goes wrong. We'll check up on her every few hours but I suggest she gets some rest it's late . "
Doctor bishop said while writing something down then placing the clipboard down in the front of your bed.
Ghost gave a nod and the doctor understood and he left . You looked out of the window that led to the outside and saw that it was nighttime .
" How long have I been out ??."
You said harshly .
" A few hours ."
Ghost said simply.
" That's a long time ."
You said while rubbing your head .
" hey y/n me and my mom here gotta head home , I'll visit you tomorrow."
Hunter said with a smile .
You opened up your arms asking for a hug and his face flushed a bright pink . He went over to you slowly and he gave you a hug . Wrapping his arms around you gently . Making sure to be careful . Ghost stared him down the whole time and autumn noticed and went over to Ghost .
" don't worry about her, she's okay ."
Autumn whispered . Ghost is still not letting his guard down .
" C,mon hunter, it's getting late ."
Autumn said while heading to the door .
Hunter let go of you and he waved you goodbye heading off leaving you and ghost .
" Dad, I saw the way you looked at him ."
You said with a grin knowing that look .
" No boys till I'm dead and buried  ."
Ghost said sternly .
" Oh stop it ."
You said giggling .
Ghost got up from his seat and checked his watch and saw that it read 23:40 ( it's military time so it just says 11:40 ).
" I'm going home real quick and grabbing Riley for ya I'll be back and tell me if anyone bothers you ."
Ghost said  sternly, heading to the door .
" Okay , bye dad I love you ."
You said while waving him off .
" luv you too kid ."
He said leaving you alone .
You sighed and got comfortable and waited for Ghost to come back . Ghost walked through the hallways of the hospital getting ready to go . Nurses stopped and moved away from him while others stood and watched over him wearily .
No one liked Ghost's intimidation nor his demeanor but what mind boggled him was how autum took a liking to him . He never understood and probably never will but like you and soap said , he has a way with the ladies . Ghost had finally made it to the parking lot and he walked out walking home in the dead of night . He walked and he thought about autumn . There were too many coincidences and Ghost wasn't gonna let those go unturned and unnoticed.
He walked down the street and down a couple of blocks until he reached his home . He opened up the door and was met with the happy face of Riley .
" c'mon boy ."
Ghost said as he grabbed and put on Riley's leash and let him outside the house . Ghost jogged back to the hospital with Riley and soon he was met with a giant red sign that said EMERGENCY ROOM in bold . He went to the emergency room but was soon stopped by a nurse .
" Sir, we don't allow dogs ."
She said nervously but sternly . 
" This ain't no dog, this is my working partner, military personnel."
Ghost said as she showed both his and Riley's Military ID cards .
" alright ."
She said a bit nervously .
Ghost walked through the hallways  with Riley and soon he was met with your medical door and he walked in and saw you looking out the window. Your headshot trailhead to him and your eyes lit up .
" Riley !."
You said happily.
Riley ran over and jumped on your bed curling up next to you into your side as always just as he did When he was a puppy .
Ghost walked over and let him off leash and he sat back down in the chair next to you .
" get some rest, okay you need it ."
Ghost said while leaning back and shutting his eyes .
" Okay , goodnight ."
You said while wrapping your arms around Riley and getting comfortable.
" good night spook ."
He said and soon you were both out in a sleep , ghost sleeping lightly to make sure you're okay and to keep you safe . You didn't know what was coming your way but it was big and you didn't know what was gonna hit you .
