It had been two months since the glorious new dawn had arrived over Fódlan. With their determination and love for one another, Emperor Edelgard finally managed to gain full control over Fódlan, creating the unification she always wanted. Edelgard wished for a world where people would rise and fall by their own merits, unlike the corruption of the Church of Serios. Edelgard finally managed to topple the dark evil lurking within the Church, and created a new world for herself. She didn't do this alone however. Edelgard wouldn't have been able to do it if it wasn't for her now-wife, Professor Byleth Eisner. Together, the two managed to create a new, better dawn for everyone, even with evil still lurking elsewhere.

Luckily, the two were having a bit of a quieter day. Currently, the two ladies were at the top level of the monastery. Together, Edelgard and Byleth were walking and talking, while also looking around at some of the forgotten rooms hidden away at the monastery. The very top of the monastery used to be occupied by Archbishop Rhea and not much else. But now that Rhea was gone, it allowed Byleth and Edelgard to live together on the highest floor, where they could have a peaceful place for the two of them only.

Because of Rhea's previous ownership of the floor, it left a couple of rooms at the top of the monastery quite mysterious, since very few were allowed to go up there. That was the goal of the two women today. Having a look in the monastery's forgotten rooms and see what they could find.

"Is there anything in that room?" Edelgard said along the corridor to Byleth, who had just managed to use her strength to open a heavy stuck together door to a room that hadn't been looked in for a very, very long time.

"Nope... Nothing in here either" Byleth called back, looking inside to find a dark, dusty room that had nothing but rusted weapons lying around. So far, the two hadn't found much of note. All the rooms so far seemed like forgotten storage spaces and not much else.

"Ugh, I'm starting to wonder if this is pointless" Edelgard sighed with a hand to head. "There seems to be nothing of worth up here. I'm starting to wonder why Rhea even used these rooms in the first place. These rooms haven't been used in hundreds of years. Ugh... Byleth, should we just give it a rest for the day?" The Emperor said. Ever since she took Byleth's hand in marriage, the former student now referred to her professor by name. And with Byleth, in return she used a name that was very special to Edelgard.

"Aww, no need to get so down about it El" Byleth said with the usual sweet and adorable smile she often gave. "We only have a few more left to go. Let's just finish it off and never think about it again" The Professor said as she walked back over to Edelgard and gave her a slight tap on the shoulder.

"Y-You're right" Edelgard said with a smile in return. "Okay, you go check out that room there. I'll check this one" She said as the girls checked two doors opposite each other in the old hallway.

Edelgard walked on over to a door, and using her heavy strength, she managed to pull the old, creaking door open and take a look inside. As expected, there was nothing except for cobwebs, dust, and some old and empty barrels. The woman sighed before closing the heavy door and turning back to her beloved.

Byleth then did much the same on her side. She took hold of an old door handle, which clearly hadn't been used in hundreds of years. It took quite a heavy pull, but eventually the teacher managed to budge the door open. With a loud creaking sound, she was able to open the door and take a look inside. Much to her surprise, there was actually something in this room. Quite a lot of stuff actually. But what exactly was in the room was rather... unexpected.

Upon entering the room, Byleth was greeted with a... rather interesting sight.

Right in the centre of the room, there were a couple pieces or various types of stocks for whatever reason. There was a regular set of stocks, as well as a pillory set of stocks. There was also a set of stocks which seemed to be much bigger with more holes featured at the front, with this one likely able to hold multiple people at once, all sat side by side. Not only that, but dangling from the ceiling was a set of chains, bars and rope, likely to tie up the victims' hands and torture them while they were defenceless.
