Good afternoon you two! "Dr. Calhoun spoke cheerfully at her clients
"Good afternoon" the couple spoke back returning the same enthusiasm.
The pair had gone to therapy for what some would call a strange addiction. Drawn to one another by lust and physical attraction. With one in a seriously committed relationship and the other just dating around they found themselves in a web of lies, deceit and betrayal. What should've torn them apart or never together in the first place. A bond that can never be broken was created, an alliance formed by secrets of someone else's bedroom. Today we learn what started their journey.
"So we've missed a week. I'm sure there is a lot we need to cover" Dr. Calhoun said pulling out her notepad and situating herself across the couple.
"Not much doc. We did the assignments and we have actually gotten closer"
"So no sex for three weeks has been ok? I assume it's been challenging and different"
"It has been a challenge yet rewarding. I've learned a few things I didn't know about him and I noticed I like him a little more without the D" the woman joked and laughed.
"So I'd like to start with you what are some things you've learned or better yet just one thing new you've learned and one thing you've noticed you like" Dr. C asked
"He's a very good listener over the past month I've mentioned a few things I'd like to do and that I liked. So far we have done every activity and he has randomly bought all but one thing. Something we never did because we were too busy having sex"
"And how does that make you feel? Knowing that he is listening and actually cares?" Dr. C said sitting up intrigued and happy her clients are making an effort to grow as a couple.
"I'm both excited and scared. What if it wears off what if he grows tired of me" she spoke somberly
Before Dr. Calhoun spoke again she analyzed the couple and read their body language. They were less tense, sat closer and held hands from the time they sat down.
"So before we continue I want to ask you to tell me something that I never asked"
"What's that Doc" the man spoke
"How did this all begin?"
The couple stared for a moment then at one another.
"Here goes nothing" he said and turned as he spouse began to speak.
