"I'm sorry y/n. This relationship just doesn't work right now. I need time to focus on myself," my boyfriend nathan says fighting back the tears. "Please don't do this nate. I love you," I say through tears as my emotions go numb. The person that I love the most in this world is giving up on me.

"I still love you too y/n, but it has to be over for now. I'll drop some things off at you place later." My heart is thumping and my hands are shaking as he gets into his car and leaves. I sit in the front seat of my car and completely break down. Hyperventilating and broke in half. I pull out my phone to text my best friend nick.

y/n- can i come over please. it's over for me and nathan.

nick- of course. matt and chris are hanging with elmer rn

I start the car and drive the short distance to nick. When I finally get to nick's place I just walk right in like usually. Tears are still streaming down my face and my mascara is smeared all over. I sit next to nick on the couch and the first thing he does is pull me into a hug. "I can't do it without him nick. He is my everything," I say as I cry into his chest. "I know, I know. Everything is going to be okay. You can stay over tonight and we will all watch movies gather tonight," he says while rubbing my back.

I finally wipe my tears off of my face and lay down on the coach. Nick gets up to get snacks and drinks for us. We eventually get settled in next to each other and put on a scary movie. About an hour into the movie matt and chris walk into the house to see nick and i on the couch together. "oh hey y/n," matt says. I smiled and greeted him back. "Hey, you guys wanna watch some movies with us," I ask the two boys.

"Yeah I'm down." "Me too." They both agree to our little movie marathon. They come over and sprawl out on the other side of the couch. "Why are you over here anyways," chris asks. Nick looks at me as if he's asking if they should know yet. "oh uhm, things are kind of over between me and nate so I just needed to get my mind off things," I reply.

"Damn I'm sorry. But also, fuck him, he was an idiot anyways," matt chimes in. I just flash a faint smile as I try not to think about it too much. We all turn our attention back to the movie. As the night went on I began to feel tired.

"Thank you for taking care of me tonight nick," I say. He smiles a bit. "Of course, you know I'm always here for you," he says. I look over to see matt and chris passed out on the other side of the couch. I smile to nick just before falling asleep next to him on the couch.
