It was the day of training in Birmingham and the girls and i walked from our hotel rooms to the courts that we would be playing on. Our first match up was against Barbados was four days.
We started of with a heap of cardio which ended with me and Kate Maloney battling it out in the beep test for first place. Not that it was a comp but when you put like 15 pro netball players in the same room things are bound to get competitive.
We got to 15.3 when we realised that we were being filmed for social media, then the fire really started. We kept pushing through when we heard out coach yell out
"KEEP PUSHING GIRLS DON'T STOP UNTILL YOU CANT DO ANYMORE"
And we did we kept going we got to 16.1 when Kate pulled out. I kept going with the girls cheering me on

I dropped out i could not run anymore. I collapsed to the floor in exhaustion getting control of my breathing the girls came over with my water bottle and towel.
We take a break before continuing training.
FOUR DAYS LATER
Nick's POV
It has been a few weeks since I have seen Emilia i have been feeling very down lately we haven't been able to face time like we thought we would with her being in another country so we have had to use what's app but even then i is very difficult with the time zones and our day to day lives. With trainings and tomorrow we have a game against port and i have been told by Josh and pat that they have a surprise for me at the club at 8 tonight.
"But Emilia plays at 8:30 i can't i have to watch it" i say to them
"Oh but i think that you would like this surprise more" my brother says
" i doubt it" i say back huffing " fine ill go but you need to have kayo up so i can watch if we are not home in time"
"We can do that" Pat says
It has been a few hours since that convocation with my brother and Pat. It is now 7:50 and i am dressed and ready to go. I hear My brother call me down stairs saying that we need to get going. I grab my phone off my bed and make my way down to them.
We just arrived at the club and all the boys are there sitting on chairs lined up in rows on the netball court with a screen at the front that is blank. I greet a few of the boys and take a seat that has been saved for me in the front and centre. We all chat for a while before our coach comes in and gets our attention. He stands in front of the screen
"Welcome boys thank you for coming as you all probably know we have two of our Collingwood netball players playing in the commonwealth games that are starting to night. Those two players being Ash Brazll and Emilia Lipinski" he say.
I get a few shoulder pats from the boys around me when he say my girlfriends name.
"Now" our coach says getting our attention back "i thought that it would be a good idea to watch the game tonight and support them. But before hand i have organised something with our netball coach who is the vice coach of the diamonds side and she has a surprise for us so.. mark" he say turning to the guy with the computer.
He typed and clicked a few things when a video call popped up on the screen....
