The News Of An Old Rival

Mabel's POV

I wake up from my bed and check the time. It read 9:15am, so I get out of bed and look around only too see Y/N wasn't in his bed. I decided to go look for him. I decided to go downstairs to the "Employees Only", yet I couldn't find him. I then went to the shop area, but still no sign of Y/N. I was about to go back to our room when I heard a voice outside. It sounded like they were counting, but I wasn't sure of what though. I went outside and saw that the person counting was... Y/N?!? He looked to be doing some type of push-ups, but doing a one-handed handstand at the same time. He wasn't wearing a shirt, but had some black sweatpants, and black sneakers. I felt my cheeks start heating up and realized that I was blushing. I hid behind the door, so that he wouldn't see me.

Y/N: Seventy... eiiight! Seventy... niiine! Eiiiiighty!

He stood upright and began stretching himself. I turned red just seeing him shirtless and he began taking to himself.

Y/N: Woo! That was a good warm up. I should probably head back inside and shower.

I ran back to the room and plopped onto my bed and covered my face in my pillow while screaming, not being too loud. I sigh to myself as I try and forget about it. I hear Y/N coming into the room, so I pretend that I had just woken up. Soon, he walks in getting his clothes, that was my cue to yawn.

Y/N: Morning Mabel!

Mabel: Oh, hey Y/N.

Y/N: Are you ready for today?

Mabel: You bet I am!

Y/N: Should we wake up Dipper?

Mabel: Nah, let him get a few more minutes. He'll be up by then.

Y/N: Alright! See you in a few.

Mabel: See ya!

Y/N left to go shower, so it was just me in my thoughts for the time being.

Mabel: (Why was he outside so early? Also, SINCE WHEN DID HE HAVE A NICELY TONED BODY?!!? I thought he was just fast as hell, I didn't think he'd be rocking with muscles like that! Its fine. Its fine. Just calm down Mabel. Its nothing too serious. But then again, he did look ho- NOPE! NOT FINISHING THAT SENTENCE!!)

A few minutes pass before Dipper wakes up. We discuss where we'll go and what we need. Y/N comes back, and I hurriedly get my clothes and hop into the shower.

Y/N's POV

As soon as I came in the room, Mabel ran right out with her clothes and went straight into the bathroom. I ask Dipper if he knows whats up with her, but he just shrugged his shoulders. I decided to get everything ready for this camping trip. I get a lighter, some marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, flashlights, and batteries. I put everything in the bag, and wait for everyone to get ready. 15 minutes later, Mabel and Dipper walk over to me and explain where we're going.

Mabel: Alright Y/N, we're going for a 30 minute hike before reaching the camping grounds on the dirt path.

Dipper: So Y/N, are you ready?

Y/N: Dude, I'm ready to go man!

Dipper: Alright.

Y/N: By the way, can I ask you two something?

Dipper: Yeah man what's up?

Mabel: Y/N, is something wrong?

Y/N: No No, everything's fine. I just wanna know about something.

I then take out a pin with a kid's face on the front and show it to them.

Y/N: Before I started my warm-up, I found this in a bush near where I was. I don't know what this is, so I thought you two knew about it.

Suddenly, their faces went from happy to uncomfortable and disgusted, like it's something they didn't want to see again.

Y/N: Did I say something wrong?

Dipper sighs before reassuring that it wasn't my fault. He explains who the kid was and what he wanted. I sat in disbelief that a kid wanted to rule the town, and tried to force Mabel into being his bride. I clenched my fist as I thought about how horrible it must've been.

Mabel: But before he was taken away, he said he'll be back. We at first didn't think about it too much, but now I'm starting to believe that he might come back.

Hearing the sheer sadness in her voice made me a little hurt. I didn't want them to go through that again... No... I didn't want HER to go through that again. I put my hand on her shoulder, which she looks up to my eyes. Dipper looks at me, seemingly wondering what I have to say.

Y/N: Mabel, Dipper. I'm incredibly sorry that happened to you both. But I can assure you both: Whenever that time comes, I will stand there in the front lines to protect you from his wicked ways!

They both looked at me, seemingly touched at my vow to protect them. We all share a group hug, then Mabel says she'll come back after she grabs something for us all. She goes upstairs and me and Dipper wait for her. Before long, Dipper asks me something.

Dipper: Y/N, do you mind if I ask you a question?

Y/N: Yeah man. Hit me.

Dipper: If its no problem for you, could you train me?

Y/N: Yea man. I'd be happy to train you. But, why are you asking me specifically? Why not Stan?

Dipper: Its just... I want to protect my sister since I was barely able to last time. And I don't want a repeat of last time either. Plus, you look like you know a thing or two about it fighting. Y/N, please teach me!

I figured that he'd be a little upset about the last time he nearly couldn't save his sister. So I decided that I would teach him, and he would start after our camping adventure. Mabel then comes down the steps and we turn to see her with some sweaters in her hands. She hands one to me and the other to Dipper. I take a look at the front and I see a stitched me, Mabel and Dipper on the front.

Y/N: (Cute)

I look on the back and it read: "Y/N, A new member of the team!"

Y/N: This is sweet. Thanks Mabel! I like it!

Mabel: No problem!

Dipper: Thanks sis!

Mabel gives a bright smile, which makes me blush lightly. Before we leave, I head upstairs and go into my bag. I grabbed my switchblade and put it in my pocket. I then run downstairs and then we wait on our adventure.

Y/N: (Alright Nature! Come at me!)

Time flies by and soon the clock reaches 1:29. Me and the twins grab our camping supplies and head into the forest.
