A couple weeks later...

Phoenix looked in the mirror after spitting out the toothpaste from his mouth. He grabbed the plastic cup that sat on the sink, filled it with water, and washed his mouth out with that.

After finishing up, he walked out of the bathroom and went into the kitchen.

"Good morning, dad." He greeted and yawned. His father looked at him with a light smile on his face. "Good morning, kiddo." His father greeted him back. Phoenix sat at the small dining table and put his head in his hands as he tried to wipe away the sleep that was still in his eyes. His father found two plates and sat one in front of phoenix and another on the opposite side as well as some utensils.

"I made omelettes, one of your favourites!" his father said pretty enthusiastically. "Really? Thanks dad!" Phoenix looked at his father with a sincere smile on his face.

His father smiled back once again and placed the omelette, that was on the frying pan he was holding, onto Phoenix' plate. Phoenix picked up the fork that was next to his plate and waited till his father sat down across from him so that they could eat together. After his father put the pan away and sat, they started eating together.

Phoenix stood up and grabbed his plate as he thanked his father for the breakfast. He put the plate in the sink and went to his room to grab his school bag. He said his byes to his father and left for school.

A few hours later, he was back from school. He did his homework, had a game night with his dad and soon went to bed knowing fully well that Miles should be awake by then.

Miles was sitting in his study room as he waited for his teacher. He was re-reading a bunch of the letters that phoenix sent him over the few years they were apart. He grinned lightly as he read the oldest ones, noticing how terrible the grammar and handwriting was on those. He didn't know why it brought a smile to his face, but it just did, and he let it happen.

As he heard a knock on the door, he fumbled around trying to put the letters away as he invited whoever was at the door to enter.

His teacher looked at him, and waited for him to finish putting away the letters. As he was putting them away, she prepared herself for the lesson.

He put the letters away and sat up straight, and she started her teaching.

After a few long hours, Miles was finally set free from the hell of teachings, and went to dinner. He sat at the giant dinner table, waiting for his foster father and sister to arrive.

As they arrived, a butler followed shortly after. The butler immediately went up to Miles and handed him a letter, he smiled and bowed his head in appreciation. As the butler left, they began eating.

Miles sat on his bed, already fully bathed and in his pyjamas. He smiled at the name written on the paper. Soon enough a long time passed by till when he finally decided to slowly and carefully open up the letter he got, not realising that he was grinning like an idiot at the name written on it.

' Phoenix Wright ' The name read. Miles could clearly tell that Phoenix really tried to write in cursive even though it was still pretty sloppy. He wondered how many tries it must've taken him to write it as well as he did.

He began reading the letter.

"Dear Miles Edgeworth,

The email you sent to ACROSS was beautiful, and you have nothing to apologise for, at least not to me.

Larry says he accepts the apology if that's what you are now wondering. He was really mad at me for still sending you letters though. He says that they are 'love letters' but they really aren't, I promise! (That is unless you want them to be ;) [Ok I'm just joking!])

But I really hope that you'll actually read this letter, and that you weren't lying about reading all of them, though I doubt you'd actually lie to me.

Though, I am cutting this letter short this time around, because of how busy these past few days have been and are gonna be for me.

Hope you're doing well

- Love Phoenix Wright

PS: Sorry for the sloppy cursive hehe :) "

He smiled at the little PS at the end of the letter. It felt nice to have someone actually trying to text him, and trying to keep in contact with.

He really wanted to respond to Phoenix, but never had the opportunity to, especially since he doesn't remember where Phoenix exactly lives anymore.

Now that he started to think more about responding, he wondered about why Phoenix hasn't sent him his phone number, or email address yet. But it was Phoenix who was sending him these letters, not the other way around.

He smiled slightly and turned on his little radio, waiting for ACROSS to come on, before heading to bed.
