Layla's POV
"Just ask for her number!" Kaylee said
"I said no." I said
Suddenly Kaylee pushed me over to Emma
"Oh, hey Layla," Emma said
"Hey, I was wondering do you have a number?" I asked
"Yeah, I'll write it down for you" Emma said
"Here, call me later if you can?" Emma asked
"Sure." I said
I went back behind the shelf and saw Kaylee
"I told you it would work!" Kaylee said
"Ok, that wasn't that bad
I guess," I said
"See I have the best advice." Kaylee said proudly
As she put her hands on her hip.
"Don't worry I have your back," Kaylee said
"Just don't tell her I like her." I said
"I totally won't tell her." Kaylee said
"Kaylee, I'm not joking, I'm serious" I said
"Ok, I got it." Kaylee said putting her hands up
"Don't have to be
so feisty," Kaylee said
"I'm not, trying to!" I said
"Ok, we have go and change. It's almost time!" I said
"Ok, geez!" Kaylee said
We walked back to the rack of clothes and grabbed our costumes. I quickly went to the tents to change into my Herr Drosselmier costume. Then went out to the wings.
Emma's POV
"Come on guys, we have to watch Kaylee preform!" I said
"Are you sure you don't just wanna see Layla?" Addie said
"Sorry, I have to say this 'Em but it's obvious you have a crush on Layla." Kallie said
"Well, maybe I do kinda like her but that doesn't mean I just wanna watch her," I said trying to defend myself
"So, you're admitting you like her?" Addie said
"Emmy look it's your girlfriend." Kallie said teasing me, pointing at Layla that was right in front us use
"She's not my girlfriend!" I said
"Oh Emma, please marry me, I love you be mine forever!" Kallie said and began to start making kissing noises
"Stop!" I yelled
Layla who was sitting in front of us quickly turned and faced us
"I'm literally starting to think y'all are crazy!" Layla said laughing and turned back continuing whatever she was doing
I quickly smacked Kallie in the head for what she did
"Hey, that hurt!" Kallie said
"That's what you get!" I said
"I was just joking!" Kallie said putting her hands up.
Layla's POV
Behind me where Emma and her friends were sitting I could almost hear as if they were taking about me saying how I'm Emma's girlfriend or something I found it strange but kept it to myself not wanting to make anything between us weird.
"Earth to Layla!" Kaylee yelled
"What!" I said
"We're you not listening to me?" Kaylee screamed
"You were probably think about Emma, weren't you." Kaylee said
"No!" I yelled
"That would be weird!" I said
"It's not, Emma said she thinks about you all the time don't tell her I said that though!" Kaylee proposed
I looked back at Emma,she was literally yelling them I started to think they were crazy after hearing that. Then some lady yelled
"Final bows, everyone start packing your stuff or at least organize your stuff!" Some random strange lady yelled
I immediately started packing up my stuff and noticed that Emma was too. I quickly went to her and said "Hey, can I add you to a Fineline Theatre Arts group chat. It's full of kids from Fineline!" I said
"Sure," she said
"Well bye, tonight's the last show. It's hard to believe." I said
"Could you too stop flirting already? and just date!" Kaylee blurted out
"What?" I said, I could feel blush forming on my cheeks.
"We don't like each other like that," Emma said chuckling
"Mhm, sure." Kaylee said
"But I have to leave. It was nice meeting you." Emma said, heading out the door
