Hello, I'm here again with another chapter of the twisted fate of love. I had planned to update it earlier but then again this is a twisted story. I hope you forgive me for that.
I hope you like the chapter..." OK then, I agree to share a room with you" she muttered shyly. Her brown eyes swept over him, lingering on a silver and gold ring dangling from a chain and resting in the hollow of his throat.
It was his grandmother and mother's ring—the same band he'd recently proposed to her, which she'd declined... She felt an ache in her heart as she realized he was about to gift her something so valuable... And the fact that she had to decline...But she couldn't have accepted it at the time... She didn't have feelings for him at the time, but now... Things were so different today...
...
Jan Di couldn't believe how swiftly and thoroughly things had altered. It seemed odd... She hadn't expected to recover so completely, or so quickly... It also made her feel guilty about Gu Jun Pyo.
Jan Di was taken aback by her feelings for Ji Hoo. But, after everything they'd gone through together, how could she not fall in love with him again? He'd been her faithful companion... And wasn't it natural to fall in love with your soulmate?
Ji Hoo studied Jan Di as she stroked the shape of his ring, wondering what she was thinking...
She put her arms around his waist, burying her face in his chest. It was a wordless expression of grief and gratitude for everything he'd gone through because of her.
Ji Hoo pushed her against him for a minute, keeping her tight. Then he brought her back and looked at her with worry. She returned her gaze, her eyes wet and emotional. Ji Hoo and Jan Di had always had this beautiful connection that was beyond words, and their eyes seemed to express it all at the time. Ji Hoo smiled sweetly at her before raising her face and placing a finger beneath her chin. And his lips pressed against hers for a loving kiss.
Ji Hoo had been gentle with Jan Di and had taken things carefully, but control was becoming a problem... not only for him... This made it even more difficult...
The previous night had been a defining moment in their relationship... Grandfather was out on a fishing expedition, but he had contacted Ji Hoo to ask him to return home, which he planned to do the next day.
"Sunbae...," Jan Di said timidly as he cuddled Ji Hoo to his bare chest in his bed that morning after their conversation.
Ji Hoo smiled and caressed her temple with the back of his knuckle, "...All things considered, Jan Di-ah, don't you think you should call me by my name now?" He'd always wanted her to feel free with him and stop using that formal language on him, but it had been impossible, but now that he'd claimed her, he desired for her to use his name.
Jan Di smiled and chuckled awkwardly "Yes, I guess so, and you're correct... Ji Hoo... Ji Hoo-ah..., "She delicately bit her lip and averted her gaze. Ji Hoo gripped her chin between his thumb and forefinger and turned her face back to his. Ji Hoo let out a happy sigh as they peered into one other's eyes. He bent down, still holding her chin, to capture her lips in a delicate, lingering kiss. He tightened his grip on her and placed his lips on her forehead. He continued to plant delicate, gentle kisses on her eyelids, nose, and cheeks, and eventually, his lips touched hers.
"Let's go out and explore the island first" he suggested placing a sweet kiss on her lips softly.
...
Jan Di and Ji Hoo were taken by boat to the neighbouring Isle of Pines.
The two walked and spoke together along the beautiful sandy beach. Jan Di then started a game of tag, and they pursued each other over the beach. Jan Di mocked Ji Hoo by saying he would never catch her, and when he did, he imprisoned her by the waist in his arms. While gazing out at the azure waves, Ji Hoo placed a loving touch on Jan Di's elbow. "If you want to go in, I'll be there to make sure you're not afraid. I can actually save your life. I swear I'm not going to allow anything bad to happen to you ever again."
