"Like" Hongjoong never thought of it, "liking" someone was difficult to him, no one sparked his interest romantically, he wasn't the most popular guy in the school, less in his grade, but him "liking someone never went through his mind.

"U-um, i don't know" he said while his face just turned red, for some reason, when he was with Seonghwa in the moment, something sparked in him that made him look at Seonghwa differently, think of Seonghwa different and act different with Seonghwa, "I don't think i know what these feelings are Yeosang, I'll try to figure it out" he said, Yeosang sighed and scooted closer embracing the older male, Hongjoong smiled and hugged him back, Yeosang was comforting, even if he didn't speak much he was a very caring person
"YAH KANG YEOSANG THERE YOU ARE" a high pitched scream was heard, it was Wooyoung, Yeosang flinched and let go of Hongjoong "Oh! Hyung there you are!" Mingi called from behind, Hongjoong smiled and waved at him, and right behind him it was Seonghwa talking to Yunho, in that moment he panicked and ran away running past Seonghwa leaving him and everyone else confused

Hongjoong ran without any thoughts just "Seonghwa's there time to run" and as soon he clashed with a quite smaller sending her quite far, he fell on the floor a bit tripping, back to earth, the girl groaned and looked up starting to yell but saw it was Hongjoong, she gasped "Hongjoong! I'm sorry!" she shrieked and helped him up, Hongjoong met with the girls hazel eyes and flinched "Areum!" he exclaimed, Areum smiled, "Where we're you going so hurriedly" she said helping him up, "uhh, nowhere really" Areum smiled and pat his shoulder careful, you might bump into someone or something" she said chuckling "yeah sorry Areum" he apologized "no worries it wasn't your fault" she said and walked past him "Bye Hongjoong, be careful" she said not looking back at him and just waved
Seonghwa watched from far, Hongjoong interacted with his mysterious girl, he had a bright smile, and laughed at watch she said, Hongjoong walked towards the same direction, being stopped by another body, Hongjoong stopped his tracks, he looked up, Seonghwa, Hongjoong was ready to run away but Seonghwa grabbed his wrist again, Hongjoong's eyes widened and looked at Seonghwa, he had a mix of sadness and ... jealousy? "Kim Hongjoong, why are you avoiding me" he said looking at Hongjoong's lost eyes, he gulped "i-i—" "—and don't say 'I dont know' you know." he said still piercing Hongjoong's eyes, meanwhile Hongjoong's eyes averted to His, Hongjoong stayed quiet, "Seonghwa, I really don't know, i just— the feeling of being around you feels ... different and i don't know what it is, seeing you and feeling your presence makes my heart race, like right now" he said grabbing Seonghwa's hand placing it on his chest, Seonghwa looked at Hongjoong's chest soon feeling the fast heartbeat on his palm.
"Oh — i actually feel that too .." he said and placed Hongjoong's hand who had a grip of at the moment, Hongjoong felt his heartbeat, both of them rose into silence and their faces heated up, they looked away covering their faces, their awkward feeling soon faded on that moment.

When Areum was heading back to the patio to meet up with her friends , she bumped into Park Seonghwa, who was also Hongjoong's child hood friend, but Seonghwa didn't know her, since she's never interacted with him and never interrupted when he was with Hongjoong, Seonghwa walked pass by her after saying sorry and immediately went to say some to Hongjoong who was walking her same direction, "what's with me and bumping into guys today" she said and turned around seeing Seonghwa approach Hongjoong, Areum stayed back and spied on them seeing what was going on, witnessing everything she gasped to herself "where they possibly in love ?" she said to herself, she ran out squealing and looking for her friends happy that finally his male best friend found love.

"im deeply sorry Seonghwa, i didnt mean for you to misunderstand my actions" Hongjoong started explaining himself to Seonghwa, "it's okay, just don't go around like that again, you left everyone confused as well" he said laughing, Hongjoong laughed along "Okay fine i won't, I promise"

authors note: next chapter might be a little ... sad ? probably? its just going to change the story a biit, also sorry this chapter is a bit short and its a little mess but hey, introducing a new character! her name is Jeong Areum, she is Hongjoong's best friend since diapers (even before Hongjoong met Seonghwa) and I promise she won't really get involved with them and sometimes will appear on Hongjoong's pov's :) love yall :)
