after a slim amount of driving through Bailley with my two buds, yelling at the top of our lungs to epic songs on the radio, we park into the empty parking lot and Miko yells with excitement. I giggle as Five lays back in his chair and chuckles. " Ready to go, champ? " I say, punching him in the shoulder, he jerked up, making Miko laugh loudly. " C'mon partners, " Miko hops  out of the van, and I follow behind her. Five gets out on his side and we go into Joystick Jr. 

We walk up to an under-paid teenager to buy our game cards. The place wasn't really busy, a few people here and there, playing games as usual. As soon as we get our cards, Miko bolts over to Sock Em' Rockers and starts jamming out on the dance-pad. Me and Five casually walk over to watch her play, and we both know that she's gonna get a new high score for the 50th time. Five looks over at me and suggests to go play some co-op games together. I thought it was sweet, so I agreed to go play a racing game with him.

We walk over to some game with motorcycle replicas and he swipes his card. I hop onto the smaller motorcycle, in a bright, neon, green shade. Five's car was a big purple one with black stripes. We picked our racers, and a map on the edge of a beach. I giggle with excitement and he laughs along with me. " Good luck, y/n. " he says, slicking back his hair and gripping onto the handlebars. " You too, Hi_Five. " I snap back, winking at him. The game makes a loud buzz, meaning the race started. Me and him start off fast, in first and second place. We stayed like that the whole round. In the last lap, we were neck-and-neck, both of us screeching back and forth, getting closer to the finish line each step of the way. At the last moment I sped past him, taking first place and that shiny gold medal lit up the screen, with a ' #1 ' on it. " YEAAAAHHH BBBOOIII !! " I cheer, throwing up my arms and pointing at Five, laughing. He gives high five and congratulated me on my win. " Way to go, dude! " He responded, a sad smile on his face. " sad you lost, Hi_Five?~ " I retorted, having a mischievous smile on my face. I winked at him, making him blush.

 Miko then popped outta nowhere, holding a soda in her hand. " hey guys!~ " she yelled, as if she hasn't seen us for awhile. Five, surprised jumped back and fell off of the motorcycle replica. Me and Miko burst out laughing, looking at the fallen purple-haired boy in front of us.

After a short amount of laughing at our bud, all three of us get a glitch signal in the arcade. I look at both of them, nod, and turn on my gear. " let's roll, Dream Team. " I say, signing to where the signal came from. At first, it seemed already collectable. Miko aimed her gauntlet at it and tried to collect it, but that just turned it into a giant ball with a monkey in it.

" oh nerds- " Five responded, and we all started to run from the glitch, screaming. " waaaa!! Miko, why did you do that?! " I cried. " I thought it was collectable! AAA.. !- " she crashed into the ball pit, rubbing her head and groaning. Me and Five continued to run from the ball chasing us. " I got an idea, partner! " I chime in, grabbing onto my friend, still running next to me. " What ?!- " he yelled, a scared look on his face. " Just let me on your back and keep running! " I respond, squeezing his hand.  He nodded and let me on. I aimed for the glitch in any weak spot while Five kept running. I shot it a few times, damaging it, and then Five tripped over something, making both of us fly over. 

" WAAaaAaA!! " he cried, falling over onto the rug floor. I toppled over him and watched as the ball started coming towards us. I braced myself and covered my body with my arm and shut my eyes closed, holding my bud tight. But- I wasn't crushed.. ?

I open my eyes to see Mitch, the guy who was at the register earlier, and two other techs next to him. A girl with a hijab and a small dude. They pulled out a giant shield in front of us, and shot the glitch clean. Mitch casually collected the XP and chuckled. " Boosh. " he snickered. " Who- what- huh- hey! " I said, pointing at him after getting up from the ground. Five groaned and rolled his eyes. " Mitch.. " he said. " You just took that glitch from us!- I- You!- " I protested, looking at the dude with the great hair and furrowing my brows. " It wasn't yours if you didn't catch it, blueberry. " he snapped back, cackling in his accent. The girl with the hijab looks at me and goes; " Nice to meet ya, squirt. I'm Zahra. That's Haneesh. " she says, pointing over the small tech next to her. He smiled and waved. " Heyo. you a part of Miko and Five's little Dream Team? " he says, looking at Five and then me. Just then, my bud wraps his arm around me and says; " Yup! Y/n is a great teammate. We love havin' em' on our team. " he blushes, and squishes his face up against my cheek, making me blush a little. " Nice.- Now we gots to go cause Mitch is annoying, and wants to do a whoole 'nother mission. Bye Five~.. Eh- Bye new.. person.- " she says, walking next to Mitch and Haneesh follows her.

" What was that?- " says a Miko. She just spawned outta thin air for the billionth time. " No clue. She seemed nice though. " I say, looking up at Five, who was still clung to me. I chuckle and he moves, blush staining his cheeks. " Zahra is nice, she just acts weird around me cause she apparently likes me or something. " Five says, rubbing the back of his neck. " I see. It'll be fine partner. " I punch his shoulder again and we all laugh. Did she really like him?- Why would I care.. I don't like him..
