Todays The Day!

Checking over all my suitcases. I took one last look at the house I grew up in.

"Jwadey, don't gwo." The twins, Mikela and Tyrone cried hugging my legs.

Tears welled up in in my eyes. "Loves, I have to. Don't worry I'll be back soon with loads of presents for my two favorite twins." I lifted them up cradling them in my arms.

"Pwomise?" Tyrone hugged me close with his chubby arms as Mikela cried softly in my hair.

"Promise."

At those words their eyes brightened but only a little. I knew well that my heart would break not having them around me.

"I love you both. Be good for mom and dad, loves won't you?" I sniffled.

They both nodded their heads, "We lwove you too, Jwadey."

My heart clenched. I wouldn't see them for another year. Would they forget me? I sure as hell wouldn't forget them.

"Okay Jade you ready?" My dads voice echoed in our garden. I lifted my head up from the twins necks ad nodded. I set them down on the grass.

"I'm ready." walking over to the portal my dad made I took one look back at my family.

I'm ready..

We're ready you mean!

Right. We're ready.

The portal lead me to a giant castle. It was breath taking.

"Oomph!" I looked over to see a small blonde girl around my age on the ground. There seemed to be three girls towering over her.

"Your so ugly." The one in the middle said.

"Yeah you look like a goblin." The skinniest one said.

The third girl, which looked to be the leader, nodded an evil glint in her eyes. She swung her leg out to kick the small blonde on the ground.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" I yelled.

The three girls looked at me in disgust.

"Excuse me?" The leader said putting her hands on her hips.

"You heard me." I said confidently.

Where's this confidence even coming from?

Raven? But how..?

I can control your body.. One of the perks of being a mentor. It takes so much energy though.

The girls took a step closer to me. I stood proudly alone. "Since you're new here let me give you a tip. My girls and I, we aren't to be messed with we rule this school. Got it?"

"All I got was jealousy radiating from you and the two little cows standing beside you." I smirked, the leaders eye twitched in annoyance.

She took a step forward threateningly. I remained still, my hands crossed over my chest.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" Voices chorused around us. I looked around shocked at the number of people now standing as a crowd around the small blonde girl, the three stooges and I.

"Kirsty, kill the bitch!" The skinny one said. Ah so her name was Kirsty. "Oh don't worry Jenna. This bitch is as good as dead. Katelynn" She looked at the ginger girl of the group, "make sure you film this."

"Well 'Kirsty' I don't think you'd like to watch yourself getting brutally beaten over and over again." I said darkly.

"Listen here newbie, I'm a vampire. Vampires are the rulers of the school. You? You probably don't even know what you are yet. Do you?" She flipped her hair back.

"I may not know what I am yet but that doesn't mean I can't fight. My mom is a hunter. She's trained me."

At the very word 'hunter' Kirsty stiffened.

"Let's get it on." I circled her.

She threw the first punch, which I gladly blocked. I twisted her hand until I heard a sickening crunch and then landed a kick to her side. She flew back and hit the wall.

Black vapor started to pour slowly from my hands. It slithered like a snake hunting in prey towards Kirsty who was recovering from the kick.

What the?..

She recovered quickly and went to attack when she seen my hands releasing the black smoke. "What the.. What are you!? Why are your eyes black!? W-why are there a set of razor sharp fangs pointing from your mouth!? You're a freak!"

Suddenly a teacher stormed out. "Stop the fight this instant!"

Everyone fled the scene. whether it was running, flying, transporting you name it they did it. Chickens.

"Miss Grimm. Miss Beverlys. I'll let you off with this for now." I nodded my head at Miss Gylnn, as it said on her name tag.

"Miss Grimm, this is your schedule, keys, dorm number and uniform. I do hope to see you in Supernatural placement tomorrow?" Miss Gylnn didn't wait for an answer as she strode away.

Incoherent words flew out of Kirsty's mouth as she, followed by her two pain in the asses walked away.

"Are you okay?" I look at the blonde girl who was now standing up.

"Y-yes t-thank you." She blushed and lowered her head.

"What's your name?" I beamed.

"T-topaz." She mumbled.

"Well Topaz I'm Jade!" I smiled holding out my hand for her to shake.

She looked startled that someone would even try shake her hand but there was relief in her blue eyes.

"Nice to meet you Jade."

"Nice to meet you too Topaz."
